  1. aww, I wanted to see pens even tho I was cheering for the MLS :-(
  2. I live in Vancouver and my local team is represented by Jay Demerit for the MLS All Stars. Tonight I'm cheering for the MLS, even though I hate Wondo who got the goal.
  3. Thought this was interesting: MLS has now overtaken the NBA and NHL as the third-most attended league per game in the US. Glad to see that people here in North America are finally realizing how awesome football is. Chelsea doing the US tour (especially partaking in the all-star game) can only help grow football over here. Here's a link to the article: http://www.coloradoa...&nclick_check=1
  4. Torres, in his limited playing time this Euro, found a lot of clever ways to get behind defences this tournament. He also found a number of ways behind South Korea's defence in the international friendly pre-Euro. If that's not a good sign, I don't know what is.
  5. Torres can't catch a break. He scores against Ireland but they're "garbage goals" that don't count because Ireland's a poor side. He gets a goal against Italy, a quality side, and it doesn't count because they weren't trying anymore. Sigh. The only thing Torres can do is score against the opposition he's up against, and he did that really well this tournament. I hope this form carries over into the new season. Good for him.
  6. 189. Essentially two matches including stoppage time.
  7. That's just cynical. It was a perfectly unselfish pass to a teammate who had a wide open net rather than take a shot from his weak foot against Buffon who had the angle well covered after the initial pass was sent too wide. Torres made the play that gets a goal 95% of the time versus the one that gets a goal maybe 25% of the time, and you're not happy?
  8. Cliffs: Hazard will fail because Chamakh is a useless twat.
  9. Tell Ronaldo that, lol. Tell Balotelli that. Tell Robben that in World Cup 2010. Every goal counts, and sometimes the "easy" finish is the hardest one to make.
  10. U're right, I forgot RDM is just Terry and Lampard's puppet. Stupid me.
  11. didn't you know the RDM invented catenaccio on april 24th, 2012?
  12. Grunch. Who says you can't become a fan of someone's by that age? I was less than 8 years old when I started having sports heroes.
  13. I was expecting to see a rush of Torres-has-bad-game-let's-get-Cavani posts but this is actually quite civil.
  14. Torres should've scored, yes, but the worst part about this is he'll get all the press when RVP and Balotelli have bottled much better chances.
  15. 'Bout time. Now all the paranoia can stop.
  16. Yeah, even if he gets number 11, it's not like the kit's gonna say Drogba on the back. He'll carve a new legacy with that number (if he even gets it, which is all speculation at this point).
  17. But if Mata wasn't there, would Monreal have ever made the pass in the first place? #thingsthatmakeyougohmmm I agree with what you said about Torres getting a brace. He had a number of great scoring opportunities. Good to see from him. And glad that he was able to bury one. Should do well for his confidence.
  18. if only he took that with his right, you know, on the side with the wide open net
  19. mata should've left that for torres, then the goal would've been onside...lol mata
  20. nertz, torres almost had another...well onside too but called off edit: the good thing to see is torres is looking extremely dangerous and he's getting into the right areas...he's not shying away from the middle of the box either which is great to see
