I don't think that's really the case. Genk and Bremen obviously had to, as he's was by far their best player. But in general he's a player that helps others play better and help determine tempo. I think he can fit into Chelsea well and offer something different, because he is the only one together with Shurrle that really provides depth. And except for that he also is the only one, except for Lampard who isn't going to play every game I assume, who's actually good at indirect freekicks and corners. He'll have his games, but I don't expect him to play the majority. He'll need to grow a little into the Premier league before he will be able to compete really and on fair footing to our other fantastic attacking midfielders.

Are we even going to attempt to sign someone? If so fingers crossed for DDR or Witsel.
-
Which sadly doesn't mean much.
-
Did you saw his game with the NT against Holland? He got manhandled by the average, to say the least, Lens. Don't want him here at all. Luke Shaw okay, but not fabio. Please not Fabio.

Traoré & Feruz are perhaps rather young, but both look rather promising. Especially Traoré was amazing in pre-season...
-
The fact that both could be abbreviated as FM, but the fact that only one commonly is abbreviated that way, says it all.

I don't get why everyone is bashing Hazard's last performance? "Eden Hazard created an unrivalled six goalscoring chances on the opening weekend of the Premier League." (source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23691551) In other words he was the best performing player last weekend at what he's supposed to do, creating goal scoring chances. Defensively he was also playing well. So for me he had good performance. Just one that was notably better in the first halve than the second.

Personally I also tended to like chadli when playing as an AM.
-
Yeah but typically they were only looking at the Belgium team. Ribery was clearly the best man on the field, way ahead of Kompany as well.
-
Belgian tv: "Kevin and Kompany were MOTM" on Belgium vs France (0 - 0).

You gotta love Mourinho when it comes to these kinds of things.

Woha must buy goggles it seems. And yeah, I'm against selling Luiz as well. I'm just trying to think of replacements if it sadly would happen. Just popped out the first names in my head. Though I'm not sure they'd ask 40 mill for Mangala, they have letten others go below they're buy out clause as well, if the money given was more than profitable and enough to get some replacement. Nobody would ever pay 40 mill for mangala, however if one would pay upward of 15, they already made a lot of profit. He went there for barely anything you know.
-
Surely he's not the only one. The ajax reject, you mean vanderwiel? He is a not a CD. Mangala or Verthongen could be options for example. Not sure if they'd be the best, but I'm no scout and those are the first that come to mind. The latter one isn't unlike Luiz (good footballing skill, nice freekick,...), a bit less potential but also making fewer mistakes. Mangala would be cheaper though.
-
One of those is named Thiago Silva...The other Marquinhos. Both better or more promising than most of our CB's as well. Sahko can still improve much however, contrary to most of ours. The only one we have who can compete with those three of PSG is Luiz, so...
-
I don't think Luiz will leave, but if he does who should we get? Would we like a technically gifted, footballing CB like Luiz or would we need a tank more (in the style of the likes of Vidic)? I don't think Mangala would be the best option. What about Sakho? He's not playing to much at PSG at the moment...

Remember Zidane. He was shit; he rarely scored.
-
Well he already has been doing less muscle training for a long time. And without a doubt Mourinho is teaching him all he needs to know. He molded many of our current and former players just fine I'd say.
-
I don't believe he will go either. Really hopes he doesn't as well. He's our most gifted defender even though he may make some mistakes sometimes. But I think it will occur less and less, especially under Mou's guidance.
-
Same was true in preseason really. I guess he can do centre in games/team where he has to do much less defending. I prefer Oscar in the middle.
-
He has already reduced his power training significantly. But you can't expect all or most of his muscles to disappear, clearly a lot of it is just due to genes and previous (especially while growing up) training. The only way you can make them disappear is starving yourself.
-
I hope and believe he will, but we'll see. If he doesn't well, at least we'll have stuff to talk about.
-
You're right when you say Mata is a better finisher, but if you say Hazard isn't one of the better dribblers around I guess you're just fishing for a reaction. Well, happy fishing then mate.
-
3:0; Hazard and Oscar will destroy them. Goals from Lukaku (one on one after throughball from Hazard), a screamer from the Bruyne and a goal from Shurrle (after replacing KDB). Formation: ----------Lukaku-------- -Hazard--Oscar--KDB- -----MVG--Rambo------ -Cole-Terry-Cahill-Azpi -----------Chech--------- Subs: Mata, Shürrle and Essien.
-
Yes they are not to be a partnership in the pivot. However both can have their place their and do well for us, but only when playing alongside Ramires and possibly Van Ginkel. Though the latter is performing really well defensively, he does need to improve his passing game.
-
Really happy with the second half in which we showed our qualities again, especially Hazard, Ramires en Lampard. Bertrand played rather well in both halves as well. Only minus in the second half seemed Ba who didn't do too much good. KDB didn't play too well, it seems he still has to gell in with Shurrle and Moses. But he has been bright the other games and clearly links up better with Hazard, with whom he has played more. That's it for me in the first half our holding midfield was nowhere, due to having not enough pace and stamina. The AM looked tired and not yet used to playing with each other. But I do think all three of them can more than contribute this season, they only have to gell. And perhaps there wil be some partnership up front that will work better than others.
