  1. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar_%28footballer,_born_1991%29 Read the Chelsea section. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2014/10/16/6968855/chelsea-ffp-database His amortized fee is 6.5m meaning his salary for a 5yr contract and transfer fee combined is averaged to be 6.5 total. If he was purchased for 25m his salary makes him grossly underpaid.
  2. I had no expectation actually I knew nothing about him before we purchased him. He's been very good though if you ask me! He's definitely increased his value and is worth more than the 19.35m we paid for him... Hey man you're more than within your right to demand more from him, I want more too, just think you guy have placed unrealistic expectations on him because he's the "Brazilian 10" He works hard for the team and scores important goals, that's enough for me.
  3. Depends on the game still. If we are down 3-1 ans need to score goals in the second leg I'd play Oscar.
  4. Love Ramires he's without question the perfect squad player!
  5. Well Internacional's accounting firm have it at 19.35M, I don't see a reason why they would lie. Also if you look at Oscar's Amortized fee there is no way its 25m we paid for him.
  6. Ramires was purchased for right around the same amount as Oscar, the now sold Schurrle was a couple million less. Why people think that because Oscar is our regular 10 means he has to start every big game is beyond me. He's another squad player who has his role within the team. Because he doesn't play in all of the big games doesn't mean he has no value... As a matter of fact we're getting great return on a guy we bought for under 20m. Lower your expectations and you will love him AND Ramires! Two perfect examples of great squad guys
  7. That's great! Means the manager has options and got it spot on! Carefree!
  8. You don't have to be a yes man to have respect for someone who has won everything possible in Europe. The question you need to ask yourself is what makes you think you know what's best for a team you've see play maybe 6hrs a week? Jose spends every waking moment with this squad and he's only ever lost 3 times in all competitions with them, you can couch critique when he's proven to be a failure. Clearly the decisions he's getting paid to make are paying off! The idea is to win and that is exactly what he is doing, if you don't like his style of football perhaps Chelsea isn't the club for you? I've never known Chelsea to be a team that play expansive attacking football, we've pretty much always been an opportunistic club that rode their luck and above all else won. That is the hallmark of Mourinho football, its not always pretty but it is highly effective when you are a results driven club. And what is this drivel about "not being naive and that it could've gone wrong"? Of course it could've!! but why are you crying before a ball is even kicked? If you were to ask me before kickoff what I thought the lineup would be I would've wanted Ake in the midfield with Ramires and Cesc. That would be totally based on my extremely limited knowledge of the club. When I saw it I didn't assume the sky was falling, I got behind the manager whose done nothing but win for this club and supported his well thought out plan! What did you do? piss and moan about how terrible it is before they even got on the pitch... That's wack. We are supporters! SUPPORT being the operative term. Its the badge before everything else! Yes this is a discussion forum but before its that it is a SUPPORTERS discussion forum! We try to emanate positivity and show our love for the club! All you ever do is post your pissing and moaning and clearly more than a few are just sick of it. Either get behind the club or piss off... There are zillions of other outfits that may suit your particular brand of "positive" football. IF you truly love the club try showing it every now and again, there is nothing wrong with disagreeing with what the club or the manager is doing but when its all you do its deemed negative and you will most certainly get negative responses, DEFINITELY from ME UP THE CHELS!!!
  9. I never really liked that guy since he admitted he was Jahfaking (Fake Jamaican)
  10. A midtable team that are 1 of 3 who beat us all year. What you've proven with this and you other posts is you prefer style to substance. Fortunately Jose understands that teams aren't remembered for making 780 successful passes or because they work all the beautiful 1-2's into scoring chances. Teams are remembered in history for WINNING and no amount of beautiful, free flowing attacking football and ever replace the feeling I get when we win in a cup final. You really should consider following another team, Jose is here to stay and so long as the trophies keep rolling in I don't see a reason to change our approach to big games.
  11. Some people just can't ever be satisfied. They don't even know what they want... City play probably the most expansive football in the league, why are you a Chelsea fan? If you want all out attack there are better teams to follow than Chelsea.
  12. Whenever you're ready, we're all waiting!
  13. How did you enjoy the crow you ate yesterday? Did you put salt on it? Leave the management decisions to Jose, he knows best.
  14. Why don't you go support Liverpool? Its clear you prefer their style to ours.
  15. Hugo Lloris with the Chelsea scarf on???? hahaha
  16. shows what you know! Jose knows best! never forget that
  17. was my man of the match! Did well played hard
  18. I wouldn't be disappointed with Cesc and Rami in the holding role so long as it means we're gonna attack for most of the game. I actually think we're better going forward than we are sitting back anyways... If Jose goes with an attacking lineup it could make for an exciting final! There is no way in hell I can see the Spurs employing a high press on a pitch like Wembley without leaving massive gaps to be exploited. I also doubt they will do that having played and lost on Thursday night, they'd be knackered by the 40min mark. We would be wise to have them on the back foot early, run them into the ground and have them shifting from left to right.
  19. Well done We Hate Scouse! Your intel has made me a legend at my local supporters group, for that I will thank you. But don't stop there get me some more scoops or I'm back to being a nobody again! A couple things I found out today that astonished me. First that Chelsea's new deal is gonna net them £40m a year for the next 5! That is roughly only 13m less than the largest in the world I believe which is Man utd's 53m. Whoever negotiated that deal is without question a master manipulator. I fully expect the big boys to use our deal as a platform to bargain with... Expect enormous deals for real and Barca in the very near future. While the money we got shocked me nothing came close to the shock I experienced when I read Chelsea logged the most hrs of viewership and thus were the most watched club in the premier league!?! That is astounding to me! I knew the club was growing I had no idea it was to that level. We are in a good place to cement ourselves as the only real big club in England, not in terms of supporters but competitions. We'll probably go further than any club left in the champions league, we have this massive endorsement deal, if we win the league we will cake on tv money and also being the last team in Europe we'll get a huge cut from that. We already turn a profit imagine if we actually get that prize money? No wonder the campaign is in full swing we will be demolishing teams in every way if we go onto win this! These are great times brothers and sisters, Enjoy this period and quit the whining. Carefree.
  20. No it hasn't its actually gotten a lot stiffer. Gruelling Christmas period after a World Cup year is what we're seeing. The style of play isn't the greatest but it gives every team a chance to compete. Don't look to Europe and draw conclusions about the prem. When everybody else is off bathing in the sun, the English clubs are enduring the most exhausting portion of football imaginable. I don't know why this is so often overlooked There is no midseason recharge its go and go harder when your knackered and then go again.
  21. Listen guys I'm a little confused, at what point have the spurs become an offensive dynamo capable of scoring at will? Some of the stuff I'm reading here is absolutely dreadful "if we start ivanovic we're screwed?" Lol We have the better squad even without Matic, the game on New Years was an anomaly, a shit penalty and a deflected goal. Yes they played well but not well enough for us all to be shaking in our boots over the tie. This is a game where the best players shine the brightest, I can't see a scenario where the likes of costa, hazard, ivanovic, willian and perhaps cesc aren't completely turned on for this one. If that is the case does anyone really think the spurs, playing on two days rest can live with us? On a pitch the size of wembley their press will be non-existent especially after a Thursday night game away. It was a tough loss we suffered but we were a tired squad. I know we haven't been at our best since that game but its a cup finals people! We are Chelsea we live for these moments!
