  1. Not worth rebutting until you get his nutsack out your mouth.
  2. I think that's part of the problem... He's reached great heights but can't consistently sustain it.
  3. What your stills don't show is where he was in his stride. If you've ever played the game before you'd know that running at top speed then striking the ball correctly is all about timing. The screen shot at 8:01 is precisely what I'm talking about, you froze it right after his last touch which created the gap for him to shoot. The split second after that touch made it difficult to get a shot off with any sort of power. The only opportunity I see where he should've ripped a shot was the touch before he passes to Diego. The touch before he released the ball was perfect and opened up a shooting lane... he opted to pass it when right there he should've shot it. Having said that Diego was waiting for it in space and had time to measure a shot, wasn't the best angle but 7/10 times Diego buries that. The opportunity in the first half I thought he made the right decision to try and open up Fabianski and slip it underneath him. The defender was to the right of him so made no sense to cut inside towards the pressure. Keeper made a good save for sure. And finally, although it looked like it in live play, Eden didn't jump out of the way to avoid contact from the keeper. He was attempting to chip it over him and missed the ball... 6:07 of the video you are referencing illustrates that perfectly.
  4. I think we need to try Oscar and Fab with Kante as our midfield three at some point, I just don't think this is the fixture for it with JT out. I'd like to see this: Courtois Ivanovic - Cahill - Luiz - Azpilicueta Kante Fabregas - Matic Moses Hazard Costa We will almost assuredly see this: Courtois Ivanovic - Cahill - Luiz - Azpilicueta Kante Matic - Oscar Willian Hazard Costa As always we win if Hazard decides he wants to show up. He is our focal point and I really like the idea of Milner having to deal with him all day. I want us to be direct which is why I think Moses is an excellent shout for this. He can give Clyne lots to think about and hopefully pin him back in a way that Willian can't. Mane is obviously a threat but I have a feeling Kante will be his kryptonite. I was hoping this wouldn't be Luiz's debut only because of all the attention that will be directed at him, there's a good chance Liverpool will target him and try to put pressure on him to play mistake free. Its gonna come down to who can be most clinical when the opportunities present themselves there will without question be goals in this. We need Hazard to be man of the match followed by Kante, if that happens we win for sure.
  5. Andre Marriner... Wow how he is still getting Premier league matches is beyond me. This is the same guy that was standing 3yds away from Aguero when he elbowed Reid in the throat. How many things is he gonna miss before the FA demote this wingnut for poor performances??? If the last two game weeks aren't deemed unacceptable for the standard of the Premier League I don't know what is! I mean forget the TWO fouls on Cahill that led to the goal, what about Amat's 6 fouls? 3 after already being cautioned? The reason the Premier League is considered a tough league has more to do with the standard of refereeing than it does parity amongst the teams in the competition. This is quite simply the worst collection of officials in Europe... All of them have this God complex about them and its becoming more and more obvious that something is fucking rotting at the root. Long before Halsey outed his former employers anyone who is even remotely paying attention can see the corruption that exists in the league. Utter bullshit.
  6. I find it so odd that no one has picked up on the notion that 3 at the back may be the formation tailor made for someone of David Luiz's skill set. I think he is perfect in this role because it will provide him with the necessary amount of cover should he decide to get forward and influence the game in this fashion. Not to mention Kante will also provide the necessary shield preventing teams from just running directly at our backline. We'll have to see how Conte uses the 3-4-3 but if its anything like I imagine (Luiz as the Libero with wingbacks) we could be in for some more exciting moments at the bridge. http://lineupbuilder.com/?sk=cx144
  7. You guys are making it sound like every time he steps on the pitch he will make a huge mistake to cost us 3pts. The truth is David Luiz is a wildcard, he gives us that little bit of unpredictability that can decide matches and change games. The assets he brings to the team far outweigh his shortcomings but having said that, when he fucks up its major and on the lead story of every media outlet. Marcotti said it best when he does something well you never hear about it, when he fucks up its all people seem to want to write about.
  8. I think we've come out of this looking pretty good. We got a Striker who looks class and also left a spot open for an academy player to come in when ready. We got the world's best anchor who will sit in front of our porous back for and also distribute the ball quickly to our attack minded players. We brought in(back) a ball playing CB who for my money is better than any we've been linked with not named Bonucci. Should also point out it was for a fraction of the price we would've paid for Koulibaly(untested and 65m). He will make mistakes but all defenders do, its just how the game is played now. What he brings is pace and a true libero who is a leader. We got a FB who looks like he can play football and make accurate left footed crosses. This also makes Ivanovic available to play CB where he should be anyways since he no longer possesses enough pace to get up and down the pitch. There were a lot of people expecting this window to mirror last years with what they called "panic buys" Well if we panicked and were able to secure Luiz and Alonso instead of Koulibaly and Rodriguez then clearly our state of "panic" is fine. We've added some nice pieces without breaking the bank and could very well go back in the window in January and strengthen even further. Kudos to the board, execs and manager a lot of good things out of this window!
  9. Considering the fees that have been thrown around and the lack of Champions League football we've done really well. Kante is the best anchor in the world - 32m (Xhaka went for 35m) Michy Batshuyai - 33m (looking like a classy player) David Luiz is a ball playing CB not many in the game better than him in this regard - 30m Marcos Alonso is a LB capable of playing in a back 3 and also on the wing he's left footed and can cross - 23m Eduard - 4m Few can argue that we haven't come out of this window like bandits! We've made significant improvements to an already good squad.
  10. "My family and close friends know Chelsea is the club I have dreamed about playing for so I’m really excited"
  11. This deal is off. His agent kiboshed it.
  12. goal is claiming this loan deal is done.
  13. so you have no point. Don't worry I have a special place for the likes of you. #ignoreListBliss
  14. Another caveat to add to this is the £ is not nearly as strong as it was when we sold him
  15. I'm all for banter its the lives of trolls I don't have time for.
  16. Serge Aurier can play CB in a pinch and they got Meunier to cover at RB. Its likely not to happen but it could... Not hard to get a third of fourth choice CB
  17. who would've thunk it? This place is so much more blissful when you know just use the ignore list effectively.
  18. Players like Boufal are a lot less sought after than defenders these days. I would also bet his contract will have performance based clauses in it.
