first of all no manager will ever rotate his back 4 as much as you're suggesting here. At most, Aina gets about 5-10 appearances and that's based on who we play in cups and of course injuries. Filipe Luis made 9 appearances for Chelsea, I don't expect Aina to get anywhere near that. Players don't improve all that much on the training pitch, all young talents need actual minutes in real game situations to improve, that's the whole point of loaning them out to gain experience. Again I never once said anything about what I want vs. what will likely happen, I simply wanted to know if the same people who are banging on about the youth policy are the same people who want Rodriguez.

have to say kudos to the club for trying to get a defender, its clearly a difficult market to buy quality in. Having said that I don't really like this as an option... Alessio is far from a boss in the back and certainly not a ball playing CB, so for me I'm not sure he will compliment the CB's we already have. The only real benefit to his game I can see is he's left footed and of course left sided. I know we're supposed to be buying for now and the future but I don't like the attributes this guy possesses.
