  1. depends entirely on the fee and then of course the wage demands. For me, I don't like signing players after they're coming off such a poor season. If he's willing to sign a performance based contract I'm cool with that but to give him big dollars based on work from two years ago and no previous history? Nah
  2. Injured during the Juve and City games.
  3. Firstly you have no idea what are priorities are. We are competing to WIN the champions league not just be in it, you don't win the champions league by resting on your laurels and ignoring weaknesses. Also, in case you haven't noticed, the premier league is well off the pace when looking at Europe's elite and even then I don't think Alonso matched up well. The Spurs had him pinned back and ineffectual in the 3 games we played against them, Arsenal got at him in the FA cup, City looked to attack us through the middle so hard to say how he would respond to being targeted by them. I think we need RWB and LWB, they both performed well this year but we have to go to the next level with our signings this summer. I also am a firm believer this will be the last window we will go heavy in for a while. After this we will make middling signings and prepare for the stadium fees.
  4. We need to be cold with our assessment as Conte put it. Alonso did a fantastic job for us this year but now that we're back in Europe we need to up the ante to make sure the squad is competing at the highest level. Alonso needs to be pushed and Sandro will definitely do that! We need to have fierce battles for positions in order to keep the squad in peak condition Also, Alonso against world class wingers scares the shit outta me.
  5. If we get Sandro its a true signal of intent... These are the types of rumours I want to see more of not the "Corentin Tolisso" or "Andrea Conti" links I've been seeing. We need to go big and acquire world class talent not just good talent like Bakayoko
  6. I think if we end up keeping Costa(looking likely) we should be looking to add a false 9... Costa and Lukaku are way too similar and not very good on the ball. If we tried to play them both up top we'd struggle with possession. I really want Lukaku because I think he's gonna be a killer but the timing seems weird, Griezmann and Lukaku look like the better pairing.
  7. Loads of turnover there... Compare Conte's Juve to Allegri's and you'll see why Allegri has gone further
  8. The only teams that were in for him were Chelsea, City and Utd... He had a 66% chance of being right. NEXT
  9. One thing you can account for is one's love for the club. When you have players who live and die for the badge you can get that bit extra out of them, Lukaku has loved Chelsea forever and that will help his mentality. Not to mention that he'll be playing with much much better players at Chelsea than he was at Everton.
  10. He's still a skillful player who can help us albeit from the bench... He doesn't make our starting XI better and truly that should be our aim.
  11. I don't like Morata's agility. Looks awkward when running with the ball. I'm starting to think the way forward is Morata and Lukaku
  12. And where is he gonna learn and improve? In the French League? Horse mouth needs to shut the f__k up. Conte is a proper manager... Turns average players into good ones.
  13. Some of you are hilarious! We're not Brighton... We don't have a board or a manager stupid enough to take anything for granted. Our job is easy, SUPPORT THE TEAM, let Conte and the boys take care of the mentality and expectations. We are confident as supporters because we have a team of winners and a manager who is relentless! You don't go into a home game against Boro anything less than brimming with confidence because the squad will feel that and feed off it. All this worry does nothing but bring negativity to the atmosphere which I think is crucial to the getting the squad playing at their peak. We know how to win when it counts, give the boys the support they deserve and we'll be fine. If you don't want to tempt fate by saying 'we're gonna be champs' that's fine, but its just as bad to cite instances when teams have failed as a reason for not doing so... POSITIVE ENERGY fellas! It goes a long way.
  14. This guy should never be 4 pages deep in the transfer section. Easily the best box to box midfielder under the age of 23.... I hope we take a run at this guy way before we look at Bakayoko and Kessie. Keita has everything
  15. I'm not so sure... He's come out and said that he wasn't gonna leave after last season and that if he does it will be after winning the title. I feel he may think he's done enough in England and wants a new challenge.
  16. Give Ake a chance to build on a sensational performance.
  17. first of all every game in the champions league is a big game. (only exception is 6th game in the group stage if you've already clinched top spot) The standards I hold him to, Hazard has to be a lot better on the biggest stage. He's been plagued with letting the game pass him by in the champions league, he needs to elevate his game and be the dominant player on the pitch regardless of who we are playing. Whether it was PSG or Atleti or Galatasaray or Schalke Hazard needs to be the brightest light on the pitch... he's fallen short on more than a few occasions
  18. Utd and Arsenal will be fighting for top 4 those games will not be walks... Leicester have been great recently they could easily do us a favour as we did for them.
