  1. So basically Messi's buyout will not be triggered(which is good news) if he's to be moved the club and the player will have to come to an agreement that they've had enough, or Messi will just come to them and demand a move. None of that will happen before the elections though... Messi moving is still just plausible as it was yesterday if you ask me. He wasn't gonna miss out on playing in the Champions League by moving in January anyways.
  2. Agent usually pays it or clubs negotiate just below the buyout to avoid the tax.
  3. He is also wrong too. If i'm not mistaken when a buyout is triggered it is the player who has to pay the tax, not the club, we saw this with Cesc and Costa. Having said that 200m plus wages and the tax(player paid) is a shit ton of money that I don't think Turkish Airlines or Adidas will pony up for. If after the elections Messi decides he still wants to leave then and only then will they look to move him. clearly the buyout will not be triggered for any deal involving Messi because the amount of money associated with it will just astronomical. Messi asks to be moved, board decide they've had enough, Messi is made available at a more affordable number.
  4. so was my follow up, tone problems...
  5. I thought it was self-explanatory. A ball player being one who likes the ball at their feet... You may be the only person who didn't understand what I meant by that
  6. you're having trouble identifying tone. I use the terminology because its what most people can relate to when describing a players on field function.
  7. You wouldn't know that unless you play it yourself.
  8. If he doesn't come by the summer I don't want him.
  9. So elections at the end of the year.... That means no Messi till that whole thing gets sorted.
  10. This is the first I've ever heard such charges about the Messi unrest. He loved Tito, Martino was brought on with the aid of Messi(his former coach) and now there's Enrique who is shit.
  11. Firstly, none of us know the financial state of the club. 1. The only way this deal is even spoken about in whispers is because of the potential monies from our sponsors. This entire fiasco would've been laughed off had it not been for the link between Adidas and Turkish Airlines... 2. How would the FFP rules crack down on us? For what reason? we wouldn't do the deal unless we can still comply. Also, if you look at the penalties City and PSG got for their first warnings, adding Messi then having UEFA step in to limit our spending would be fine by me! One would argue that with a lineup that includes Hazard, Fab, Messi, Costa, Remy, Willian, Oscar, Matic, Ramires, Luis, Azpilicueta, Terry, Zouma, Courtois, Schurrle all at or near their prime shouldn't have to go into the window and spend big. Also, remember PSG AND City still spent a decent amount of money this past window, PSG bought Luiz for 50m.... City bought Fernando, Mangala, Sagna and a keeper... 3. Based on what exactly? Because the two can't co-exist? There have been rumours of Hazard going to Real Madrid... Ronaldo, Bale, James, Kroos, Modric. How is our situation any worse? 4. That would never happen with Mourinho because Jose isn't a moron! Messi would play every game he's healthy, Jose is the best man manager in the business. A guy like Loic Remy, who many Chelsea supporters think should be playing a lot more, is quite content with riding the pine in favour of Drogba. Luis, who many thought was the best LB in the world, is riding the pine for Cesar who is actually a RB. The legend that is Petr Cech is staying at Chelsea instead of moving somewhere he can be the no.1 keeper. All of this is made possible because Jose Mourinho is probably a better man manager than he is a tactician and that takes some doing. Not saying Messi is coming unequivocally, but I most certainly will NOT rule it out until he himself comes out and clears the air. The other thing to consider which many seem to ignore is the tax situation, Messi has paid damn near £50m in fines and still has to appear in front of a judge. In England and moreover Chelsea, the club would've protected him from such charges... No wonder the guy is so pissed off at the hierarchy, they hung him out to dry despite all the success he's brought them.
  12. When was the last time you heard Messi was unhappy and is throwing a tantrum? He's been a model footballer for his entire career almost to a fault.
  13. Seems to like Chelsea.... http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/06/21/article-2664580-1EFFAD3C00000578-549_634x475.jpg
  14. I hate that we're always the first name in the queue, almost always means there is no chance.
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK0O2u6jI2g Just get him... the guy is sick. Play him at 8, 6 or 10
  16. Jose is not one for the panic buy, Matic was a necessity last year as he is proving to be. Also why would we get Khedira when we have Ramires and he barely played? Is Khedira that much better than Mikel and Ramires? The grass is always greener is strong amongst Chelsea supporters... Sturridge comes to mind.
  17. We're not the type of club that acquire players because they are the cheapest option, if Khedira can't improve our team significantly(and I'm of the lot who think he won't) then there is no point in acquiring him. Pogba makes sense and the price shouldn't matter, the cheap alternatives don't win you games.
  18. How anyone can not like Ramires is beyond me! He's a squad player who can cover a variety of positions and scores goals. He is precisely what you want in a player who is coming off the bench and getting the odd start.
  19. Ramires brings more bang for buck. Not on crazy wages and doesn't sulk if he's not playing... perfect squad player.
  20. No one gets "sacked in the next few days" if he is to be sacked and Cadena COPE know about it then Luis also knows so there would be no reason to drag out the inevitable.
