  1. @Belgiannutt Yup and agree Im not blaming them for not landing Ox per se, but rather dealing with whole situation. First of all we should get new LWB and RWB weeks ago to get them match fit and learn Conte phylosophy. Secondly if there were complications with primary target(s) there should be one that we would be positive we will make the deal; example throw big chunk of money for Pereira or negotiate with Aurier. However the board waited for Ox who turned us down, meanwhile Aurier will join spurs and we are in terrible position. Handling Ox case, I dont realy blame the board, he refused us nothing we can do. Handling the aquisiton of new RWB through the summer as a whole, thats where the board fucked up massively. From targets to negotiations to timing...if we were successfull we would already have new RWB. Same goes for LWB. Its simple.
  2. Sorry, but is it necessary he has to refuse the new contract first or ? We couldnt bid for him before? How did we buy Morata or Bakayoko then? They didnt turn down new contracts before we bid for them? As far I know tapping up means talking with player before talking with club. Official bid to the club for xx player can come any time. But officialy player is registered in new club during transfer windows.
  3. Well we had whole summer to get the job done. There were and still are multiple quality players for both left and right flank. Zero excuse we didnt buy competition for Moses and Alonso yet. If we buy someone good on final day and it works out, I will eat my humble pie, but if not, the board realy has no credit left if you ask me. Heading into 50-60 games season with this small squad is not acceptable. There is no excuse out there to explain it. Morata, Baka, Rudiger all good buys must say, but here I point on positons we didnt strenghten and we definately should. Its like they are taking a piss with all those sales and loans, and not bringing replacements in. Whole summer links left and right, for Sandro, for Lukaku, for Ox,...and I was defending the board we will eventualy sign Sandro and Lukaku probably wasnt even in our plans, but seeing its last day and transfers have not been made yet, more so we are failing to land even more players, thats big big failure. Dont get me wrong, Im happy we got Morata in the end, but principle was we were in for Lukaku, Sandro and failed to land them. Who knows who else we wanted and didnt get (Walker, Sanchez,...)
  4. And Suarez bit 3 people and Terry fucked his best friends wife, and Marcos Alonso killed a friend in car accident, while drunk driving, then there is Cantona,... Who cares if they show their quality on the pitch? Most probably regrets what they did. I dont like it or dont agree its ok, but hell if they know how to play football and win games, its enough. Teams consist of so called "bad boys". Its been that way forever.
  5. Well the window is open for two months now. If he was high on our list, we should bid for him month ago. If arsenal rejected us, move to next target. If Ox rejected us, move to next target. No need to tapping him. We would see exactly what is going on. But the idea to try landing a player who clearly prefers to play CM (meaning high chance of refusing us) two days before deadline without any quality backup plan, thats idiotic. Im not even mad at Ox. He refused us, it happens. He wants to play midfield. But I blame our board for being naive and simply said fucked up our situation very nice. Tomorrow is last day and we still have one proper wingback on each side while going into 4 competitons. In the end Ox has nothing to do with this, the board are just incompetent to get shit done. Unless we sign Aurier or someone similar tomorrow, it will be panic buys over again. Decent quality, overpaid, but come next season and long term, not good enough players. And with few exceptions, thats going on more or less every year for a while now.
  6. If he can repeat last season, he would be brilliant signing. But once again it all depends if Swansea get replacement...
  7. It has been dragging whole summer that he wants to leave. Also that he prefers to play midfield. Clear as day, there were concerns here two months ago that he might refuse to join us because he wants to be midfielder and not RWB. If Talkchelsea had sense of whats going on, I dont understand why chelsea board didnt check these things at least a month ago. We were interested in him long before he refused new contract. Yes we can do nothing when player doesnt want to join us, but we can do alot in how and when we handle transfers If we enquired about his situation and his demands earlier, it would give us enough time to find new target by now. But now we are fucked, one day to go, it will be panic once again.
  8. The real question is why the fuck were we in for Ox for so long and so late to play our RWB when he doesnt even want to play that position. Such a rubbish decision by the board, unbelievable.
  9. In a way if we do indeed end up with someone like Aurier, it might be better for us. Honestly, apart from being English, there were/are at least 10 players I would rather have. And for Ox being a CM aswell, well thats nice, but we should target proper CM anyway, so... Sometimes things happen for a reason, just look at Stones case, Im glad we never signed him. If we had full squad, the price was fair and Ox would desperately want to join us, then I would not be against this deal at all. He is after all very decent and versatile player. But if he wants to leave arsenal just to get more money and play CM, arsenal wanting 35m million for him and in the end even with Ox, Im not entirely sure our right side would be suddenly much better than with Moses,...meh it all seems forced. And finaly, players should be commited. I get it Ox was pissed in arsenal against pool, but lol thats a shitty way of playing. He is still under contract and gets paid. So that means everytime he would have bad day here, he would just not give a shit in games? Gtfo with such attitude. We have enough of players who sometimes simply turn off in games.
  10. Im just curious but wasnt Iborra from Sevilla technicaly a replacement for Drinkwater? Surely they would play Iborra and Ndidi as first options?
  11. If they get VVD and proper Coutinho replacement like Lemar plus Keita next year, I would consider them along us (hopefuly) and United as the most serious competition next few years.
  12. Aurier, Perreira, heck even Sidibe or Lemar could be an option. We have the money in the end. If we fail to get Ox it wouldnt be a disaster. If we fail to buy quality RWB (or someone who can play that role) it certainly will be a disaster. Summing up past few transfer windows, cant help but think we lost alot of attracting power as a club. Not just among foreign quality players, but also among english. We have been quite successful still, so we cant blame the results. However the board and their policy is certainly getting in the wrong way and that is as good as confirmed if we dont get some proper competition signings in next two days.
  13. I should explain further; I would love to have more english players, but not at the cost of quality. And certainly not at this price. IF we are to believe the rumours, we are about to pay around 35-40m on Drinkwater, who is average decent player, but from moon it can be seen he wont be our starter, but only a bench option. Then we are interested in 30-40m Barkley who had absolutely average season and didnt develop at all. Again, maybe a good squad option, thats all. The only one that makes sense (at least at this point) is Ox who will provide depth and competition, nevermind is versatile. He is also english which is not bad. The point is only Ox will be bought for more reasons than just being english. We can find miles better bench options who are also cheaper than Barkley and Drinkwater. And in the end, we seem to spend over 100m on these three players and there is great chance all of them will only be bench players on long run, and on top (again apart from Ox) they will provide very little from bench except for depth. Playing against top sides, and we will think, hey we have Drinkwater and Barkley on bench, yeah that will elevate our play surely. Then whats even more idiotic is selling decent players from our youth squad who also happens to be english. They are no worse than Drinkwater or Barkley at this moment, but obviously they all want to leave because we will forever threat them as nothing but kids who are not ready yet. And bottom line, if we are so desperate to overpay for english players, why didnt we do it earlier when there were at least decent options available? Sterling, Clyne to name a few.
  14. I hope you are not missing your girls holes like you just missquoted my post
  15. Tbh Aurier can play CB, RB or RWB (he played wing back in Toulouse and was excellent). And going straight pvp, not counting personality and off the pitch issues for RWB spot, Aurier indeed is better player than Ox. But yes, either would be fine right now.
  16. Lol Evans to City sounds just like something our board would come up with.
  17. Lemar is a wonderful player, hopefuly he stays in Monaco. If it wasnt for this stupid english player policy, I would have Lemar here over Ox any time. Im sure Lemar would be more than capable of playing LW, RW, RwB, LwB, or AM.
  18. As far as I know, Lazio agreed on fee with quite a few clubs, but Keita was willing to go only to juve...maybe he accepts Monaco tho. And Jovetic also signed for Monaco too.
  19. Im completely lost why would we need Barkley? If we are signing Ox and Drinkwater, plus Cahill and few youth players, we have more than enough english players. Why the hell will we spend 30m on average player when we can eventualy get RLC, Baker and Palmer back. This club would now spend 100m+ on Ox, Drinkwater and Barkley, but neither improves our squad apart from depth. Fucking idiotic. Meanwhile even Pool is buying Keita and Lemar, while also buying english player in Solanke, except they paid just few millions on him.
  20. I guess they would play him as AM in midfield three. Like Coutinho, he is quick, skilled and hard worker. Lallana/Wijnaldum-Can/Henderson-Lemar Salah-Firmino-Mane
  21. So barca is probably getting Coutinho also, becauseI dont see any other reason why would Pool want Lemar. That said, I hope he doesnt end up there. Brilliant player, but it would be ugly to watch him in pool shirt.
  22. Thats alot of money... He is inconsistent, poor in defence and his end product isnt the best either, but has improved. At the very least, he is english and will provide good competition with Moses. But if he is the much needed upgrade, we shall see. If Conte makes him better defender, he is going to be ok, if not we will be looking for new RWB next summer.
  23. Well Costa derby looks interesting haha We should win against Roma and Qarabag
