  1. I think he shown some glimpses, but what is his actual position? Not even close to being fast enough to play on wings in 3:4:3 and lacks tactical knowledge for midfield. But will be interesting how he develops.
  2. Haha this guy is just perfect example why its funny when fans here overexaggerate over average players and pretend they are quality. After his fluke goal everyone was saying he can take quality shots, literaly every shot he attempted after went miles away from target. What an absolute fuckup of a transfer to get this guy who is absolutely absolutely average and slow. And we paid 40 fucking millions? Yes he is english but come on, in that case we should just throw bit more for Sterling or Shaw back in the day. I literaly cant understand the board decisions, Sterling for 50 would be too much, but Drinkwater for 40 isnt? And there is a long list of players who have no place here. I know we needed more squad depth, but now we are paying shitload for absolutely average players.
  3. I know he will be just a back up but how exactly he adds anything to the team? I mean, we were looking for striker to challenge Morata and replace him when he is out of form/injured. Dzeko has that presence and scores regulary. Giroud is only good enough to be back up. Thats the difference. If Morata is out, we are no better with either Bats or Giroud out there. Even for 15m, I dont see the point of this transfer. Its just another Drinkwater addition where we buy just to get another body in squad but has absolutely no quality or potential to play first 11.
  4. Haha you know when he and Eden kept saying "I will sign if he signs"... ...twist they were realy talking about Real Madrid...
  5. Im glad we are nowhere near this guy. Been throwing tantrums at Bvb for ages now, constantly reading about his bans due to lack of discipline and loyalty. And despite being prolific goalscorer he misses a shitload of easy chances. Not even close to what we need as Morata competition which is experienced reliable option who wont complain but help the squad.
  6. Yes Schurrle was fantastic backup for us. Very likable character and seemed to have special bond with club (due to Ballack and his recommendations). He wanted to play more though but realy faded in Bvb, however if he stayed here I think he would made better career. Bailey on other hand can be proper baller, top dog. I know we cant get top players, but he seems to be one of reachable talents who can become world class. Would be kind of like Salah, De Bruyne signing, someone with huge potential. I realy hope the club can get it done, its been long time since we signed very young player with huge potential. Couple years ago we were doing it regulary (Kdb, Lukaku, Tibo, Salah,...) Its just a shame he was rumoured to be worth 30-40m back in december, but now his price is getting very high.
  7. Great talent, but big gamble after his injury. Either we will have top quality fullback or the agony of search for new LB will continue for couple more seasons.
  8. Everything but fee and his inability to play in CL is perfect about this transfer. But I guess january brings extra 5-10m on table, so its not awful. I was hoping we bring Etoo esque striker and he is exactly that. Experienced, proven, but still quality player. He will be good competition for Morata, and wont hinder Tammy progress.
  9. If only he played like this every weekend. He can be fantastic but also has games when he cant make a simple pass...
  10. Potential 60m for 31yo striker and fullback coming from bad injury recovery doesnt sound too great for me to be honest. Dzeko on his own is wonderful backup striker to have and Ederson has huge potential, but 60m is alot of money even for today standards. Plus we cant use Dzeko in CL where IMO we would need him most.
  11. Not that I watch many interviews or pressers, but how is that difficult to understand? You watch them for entertainment, not to draw conclusions, facts or find anything particulary useful (in most cases at least). Football is entertainment and people like watching their football stars talk even if it was how to make egg omeletes... In the end its up to individual to watch shitty Rio Ferdinand interviews or actualy find some quality banter like Tubes on Soccer AM. Players might be "stupid" but its never dull to watch videos of Ibra, Eden, Drogba, Cantona...
  12. To bad he cant play in CL. He would be very handy.
  13. When we were first linked with Carroll, I was like nooo way, we cant pull this off. But now that he is injured, we actaly stand a chance.
  14. I only cought extra time and there was moment when Baka was fighting for the ball near corner flag. Eden runs in to help him from one side and instead of Baka closing the other side, he casualy moves toward Eden side and leaves meter of space by the out line which norwich player took advantage of in a second and passed the ball to a teammate. Eden ran from middle of pitch to help, only for Baka to fuck up straight after.b Terrible terrible awarness and thinking. Im begining to doubt he understands the most basics of football. this was school example how to close opponent player by corner flag and Baka left acress of space the moment Eden came by.
  15. The club made some bad decisions and shown lack of ambition, but we are talking about 350k+ for Sanchez๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ He is maybe worth 250k tops, I have no idea where is he pulling that demand๐Ÿ˜‚ Mercenary of the highest order. Dont get me wrong, I would take him in a second, but he just doesnt deserve that pay and Im glad Chelsea isnt involved. I know we fans are desperate right now but come on, he would be taking club for ransom and he is often extremely frustrating to watch. I rather go for Mahrez who is younger, better and all fees combined wouldnt cost any more than Sanchez.
  16. Yes we could play more entertaining indeed. But when you read and hear everywhere how quality is stones and otamendi and fernandinho, and then you see them roasted when they get under pressure, I laugh at city. So much for world class defenders. One gets outmucled by firmino like a doll and the other two agression freaks with zero composure when under pressure. Dont let their attack decive you how poor they actualy are when they are 1v1 or under pressure. Bunch of pretenders. Where is the football when top top teams actualy had quality players like Vieira, Scholes, Ferdinand,... Remember this City will get spanked by either Barca, Bayern, Psg, Juve or even maybe Real althrough they are shit. Beating evertons and and west hams is one thing when they chicken out before the game starts and oppisition makes city players play the most comfortable way. Top teams will press the shit out of them and I look forward for the rape of Otamendi Stones and whoever pep throws because they while being good footballers are average defenders at best.
  17. This is the golden rule of how to beat Pep or similar attacking teams. These squads are fraud, sheep in wolf clothing. Looking marvelous and unbeatable when they have possesion but absolutely clueless under pressure. Reason why Pep is winning is because small teams close down and thats water on mill for Pep players. Teams like liverpool try attack but eventualy gas out. Top top teams destroy Pep teams (since his last barca season to be specific). Yet we and bunch of other quality sides defend whole game. Its literaly giving them the game on plate and hope we somehow score a fluke. Great example was juve vs bayern when juve attacked and bayern under Pep couldnt do shit, but then in the end they decided to park the bus and conceded two goals. This City team is perfect for PL demolition but they will crumble against top sides. I said it last week, Otamendi and Stones are so damn overrated and when they go against top opponents, 1v1 they will get raped. By no meaning City is bad team, they are five times better in attack, but you judge teams when they are under pressure, and city and also Pep today proved they are still the same old chicken team when you press them. I actualy belive city will run PL for a while, get finished in CL once they get someone better and after Pep leaves, the team will be left in big shock like Bayern because no other manager can handle attack like Pep and the defensive fragilities will get exposed. We are not on their level at all, but people saying Pep City is best team in europe should take a look again. Pep has no plan B and Stones, Otamendi, Sterling or Fernandinho under pressure when it realy matters turn into bang average. Otamendi and Fernandinho get rattled so quick, red card is always on the brink when they are losing badly. Liverpool on other hand is playing beautiful beautiful offense, but they have little skill and experience to actualy finish the game on high. If they were more pragmatic at 4:1 it would be easier for them to win comfortably. I think if we added two quality players, we are equal. Most definately they have better attack and movement, but we actualy have defenders who can perform under pressure, we know how to adopt and we are efficient (at least we were ๐Ÿ˜‚). This makes it harder for us in league games, but easier in elimination matches.
  18. I dont blame Conte at all, but for fuck sake ditch the 3:5:2. The main advantage of 3:5:2 is in midfield but we dont have midfielders half good enough to take that advantage. Either go back to 3:4:3 or switch to 4 at the back. Idealy we should buy new RW but its not happening. I wish the board would go all out for Mahrez AND Alexis for 100m combined and play 4:2:3:1 with Mahrez-Eden-Alexis ---------Morata----------- But its never going to happen
  19. At this point Alexis or Mahrez would be the most obvious transfers ever. Even if they cost alot. Althrough I dont rate either world class, they are miles above anything on our RW and we desperately need goals and creativity.
  20. Chill, we are just practicing 0:0 for barca at SB. Then we only need 1:1 on camp nou and we are through ๐Ÿ˜
  21. Yes he scores more. He also fucks up half of the attacks when he tries to dribble and hold on the ball too much. Hazard almost never loses the ball in the build up, football is a team sport and thats why I value him more. Give Eden world class striker, quality midfielder, fullback, and another attacker who is on similar level and he will elevate the team. He connects the dots and the better players he has around the better outcome team will make. Neymar dwells on the ball too long. Then there is a matter of fair play. Eden usualy holds his ground, Neymar falls for every tiny touch. Some dont value that, some value that more than actualy quality of the player. Both are world class, but Neymar now plays in the league that Eden outgrown at age 21.
