  1. Zappacosta seems to be closer to the XI than him, so I'd take Azpi at LB for now. Meh Zappacosta is just one of those safe short fix options..decently reliable but offers absolutely nothing extra. Emerson might be more raw at the moment, but his celining is still quite high IMO. Worth a risk in couple games. These safe options have to stop. I remember Mourinho at Real in 2012 when he shipped young, but clearly talented Carvajal out in favour of Essien to play RB. Lucky for Real, they got him back eventualy. We failed to do that with Kdb or Salah because of more proven safe options. I still fully believe if Emerson leaves to play regular football elsewhere, he will end up better than any fullback we had since Cole and Iva (Azpi excluded). The club has to realize that we have to look longterm and try more risks or we will never improve.
  2. Stupid everton fucks...how can you concede such goal in 96th minute...
  3. If we had prime Robben on right side, obviously Cho shouldnt play. But with Willian being average, Cho definately should get a game or two. Thats the reward system. After you play well, you deserve your chance. But at Chelsea we keep playing underperforming stars and young players decide to fuck off.
  4. Now that goals dried up, he realy doesnt offer much at all. Emerson also had great game recently. What will happen next? Sarri keep playing Alonso sadly.
  5. Seriously time to try him in PL games. With more play time and confidence, he will be better than Alonso.
  6. Am i missing something or why is everyone talking of Rugani like he is next Beckenbauer or something? I just dont see any reason how would he improve our backline. He didnt play in months, still realy young and inexperienced,...
  7. The real advantage city has is the depth. We have to stick with same players, even if they perform shit. At city, Aguero, Sane, Sterling, Mahrez, Silva, both cbs...they get benched if underperforming to up their level for next game.
  8. To challenge for title, we need new striker, RW, CB and LB. And Kovacic to massively improve. But right now I would be just happy with new quality striker.
  9. Its work in progress but Sarri will have to adopt to PL and certain teams. Current way its predictable and while we play nicer football, its also less effective. For example, we shouldnt play Jorginho as DM against their midfielders. Jorginho is just too weak for that. Also Giroud who is good in aerial challenges should start because that is also spuds defenders weakness.
  10. Our defense was just shocking. But thats what to expect when your DM is Jorginho. However, this team is designed to keep the ball and rotate it until scoring chance, at least in first half. But today, we couldnt control shit. They were all over us. Also, its unbelievably sad that our " strongest" player in attack and midfield is Hazard. Others get bullied soo easily. Jorginho, Kovacic and Morata have awful body balance, team like spurs dominated our midfield with ease. Kante and Willian arent strong either, but have good balance which saves them sometimes. Only player that could hold on the ball and not lose it was Eden. This can be frustrating if we needed to score a goal, because with such players, we cant "push" through the lines. We can only pass and hope to create goal scoring chance Kepa at second was third tier level goalkeeping, at least for me. Had all the time to change direction and jump but just stood there. Third one was comical because our defense was schooled in a way local league defenders dont. That aside, I sort of expected loss because we are far from great team. Morata can leave in january, other spots have players that can improve still. Morata on other hand is plain useless.
  11. Spain, Portugal is alot cooler to live than Germany, Austria, Swiss,...if you are open minded. Personaly I dont like these strict, uptight, always in a hurry folk. Not because I dont like them per se, but because they transfer that attitude on you. And then you always feel that hurry and tightness among them. Relaxed, level headed folk in spain gives much more pleasant vibes for life.
  12. What about Depay? Fixed his workrate and now looks more level headed, he plays quite well for Lyon and Netherlands, althrough he has been hot and cold in ligue 1 this year. Ex united player too, but tbh I wouldnt give a shit as long was success here. Would be interesting to see him in cf role under Sarri.
  13. Even for wingback he is too slow. I sort of hate-love Alonso. He scored some realy important goals and has quite good attitude. No denying that he has been important player past two seasons. But he is so fucking slow and I want a dynamic LB. Frustrating.
  14. During his season before injury, he was on par with Sandro, at least in Italy. I remember people talked about him as big coup whoever signs him. After injury he didnt play much and left for quite small fee and low reputation. But give him a run of games and he will be better than Alonso at the very least. This reminds me of Salah who everyone wrote off and kept picking Willian who was more ''proven''. Salah left and rest is history.
  15. This dude was ripping Serie A and been one of best prospects at LB. What happend? Did injury break him so much? Or just another case of player who got couple games and already written off. Here he is just marked as some backup, only good enough for small games. I guess at another club where they would have more faith and actual plan to use him, he would be great or at least very good by now. Just wait till we sell him and he becomes great by playing week in week out
  16. I dont get why is there so much hype about him. I try to watch matches but I just dont see it. Not last season nevermind this one. On the other side it took 10 minutes to see Sancho is a special talent.
  17. See De Ligt...now that is a proper CB. A ball playing CB yes, but also someone who knows how to actualy defend. Unlike Ramos or Bonucci who are complete frauds as CB, yet they get all that recognition because swag, hype, media and fanboys. Sadly zero chance we get De Ligt. Much like Skriniar. Both are in 100m region which might be obtainable if we sold Christensen, but the competition is too strong. Real, Barca will be over them and they wont pick us sadly. My bet is to try Lucas Hernandez. Expensive, but just maybe a bit more possible.
  18. Dunno, maybe Roman priority is that the club generates enough money. And here Marina is doing damn great job. Obviously wont be sacked. But that might be a problem. Our goal should be to get back among best, not generate money. Its possible though that we want to go fully legit, self-sufficient club with zero need for owners investment. That however means jack shit if you have competiton that breaks uefa restrictions with no punishment. Anyway a DoF is absolutely required. Marina can do all those financial obligations great, but I doubt she has any clue how to form a football project. You can have scouts to track players but thats not enough. Yet we are doing exactly that IMO. Track players left and right by scouts, Marina gets recommendations and does the financial part. But there is no vision or project; hence our dismal transfer record and some absolutely ridiculous buys and sales. A quality DoF knows some stuff not to sign Drinkwater for 40 fecking millions. Whoever went ahead with that transfer should get immediate brain check. And here we are, still months without Dof. Other teams lose Dof, they appoint new one very soon (Juve or Sevilla comes to mind). In another thread I mentioned we have probably worst results next to United in past few years considering the amount of cash spent and transfers done. Woodward is also a fraud and doesnt know what he is doing at all. Appointing Mou in first place, but what is more, they signed 3! #7 in past few years (Di Maria, Depay and Alexis), all turned complete shite. One is a mistake, 3 is pattern of incompetence. Just like at Chelsea with all those weird buys and transfer sales of today world class players that shouldnt be sold in first place.
  19. I meant more about butterfly effect...but obviously Willian should pass, however that doest mean we would have won. Willian might pass, Morata score, but on the other side Luiz could then think this game is won, had brainfart and everton equalize. Match ends 1:1... Willian not assisting to Morata wasnt reason we drew and if he did pass, its impossible to say we would have won that game. We lost because our whole attack and midfield wasnt up to it and we didnt score. Also for Hazard, I dont agree his selfishless style makes him elite because there are times when he should try to score and went for the pass to someone in worse position/finishing skill. Elite are players who know what to do when to do it. Not saying Eden isnt elite, but he could improve on that final decision making tbh. Has many other qualities making him elite though.
  20. You just know we will get the damn ban. Meanwhile City and Psg will walk scott free. But why the hell would we risk 1+ year ban over some 16 year old nobodies? Is our board realy so retarded? What are the odds that 16yo will develop in big star and replace all possible signings we might make during ban? Nevermind a 16yo in Chelsea of all teams? We are so awful in development, yet some smart fuck in the board think its cool to buy these players (first Kakuta, then Traore) and put everything else to risk? And not only we do it once, but twice? Yes we might not be proven guilty in the end, but there is no smoke without fire and whole thing just stinks.
  21. We should buy a couple players while we still can...
  22. Dunno thats kinda pointless to talk about...what if... If Willian passed to Morata, that dude might still miss open net. And if we scored who knows, maybe opponent would score one more of their chances too... Willian is frustrating indeed but these scenarios are never black and white. You cant imagine one thing different, but everything else stays the same. One change like that could completely shake things up. Or we can go into ridiculous and imagine what if Chelsea never sold Robben...
  23. Me too man. These players are reason why I love Chelsea today. For a lot of people that generation is just one of many like Desailly and Zola before, but for younger ones its probably why they follow this club and while I like Hazard, Costa, Luiz,...that 2005 generation was just something else. Even if we created balon dor team in 2020, it wouldnt feel that great as it was back in 2005. I guess thats nostalgia, being kid and growing up, watching these players. I remember always pretending to be Lamps when we played in the school... When you are older, you know more about football than ever, you understand things more, but you just dont have that carefree feeling you had as a kid watching matches...or maybe thats just me haha
