Tbh if there is one thing the board did right is making alot of income with transfers in past few years. Marina is all sorts of wrong, but she is good with finances. Thing is we spent it on wrong players. And also we shouldnt sell some of them.

The club is bitching about these 30+ contracts when many players still perform great. Then you see they extended Alonso who will be 32 when his contract runs up. 30 fucking 2. And he is already terrible and slow at 27.

Offensively they were poor. No passing threat, no chance creation, no one is threat from distance because they cant shoot. Leicester parked 9 players infront of goal, so it wasnt hard for our mid to pass around. But when they got close to their goal, we couldnt create almost nothing. Its cool they can pass rings around opponent in middle of the pitch, but that helps us very little in attack. When they get close no one has clue what to do. Defensively, when Leicester marched forward, our midfield was nonexistent, they just blasted through middle or the flanks. But thats to be expected when you have slim jimmy in DM spot.

Im dissapointed so far, but tbh Sarriball will take at least two seasons to crack in. Hopefuly people didnt expect Napoli style in 6 months. Question is will the board be patient so long? Second thing is that the players look like they dont give a flying fuck since City and pool ran away by couple points. Third thing is we do have good ball retention under pressure at the back which is definately Sarri work. That said, Sarri has to solve many issues. Drop Willian and Alonso for one. Get proper striker or false 9 and put Eden back in his lw spot. Either sort out Jorginho and Kante or bench one of them (absolute stupidity to do so with such players, but its just not working atm). Long term, CB and midfielder because Kovacic absolutely isnt good enough for his role. He is cool with his passing and has decent workrate, but end product is not acceptable and it also effects Jorginho who is always marked since Kovacic cant get away with ball to drag players on him.

Exaxtly. In match thread I said there is no point of playing him to keep possesion if we do nothing with it. I swear only here, decent players fade like that and get sort of totaly useless. If he was at city, he would be PL midfielder of the year probably. Edit: i gotta say though, our ball retention in defense and getting away from press is absolutely superb. The only thing we are doing very well.

Also I have feeling the players just dont give a shit as much as they could. They started well under Sarri when they thought we can race for the title. Then realised pool and city are simply too much and they cared less and less with every game. Now that the title is completely off, they stopped giving a shit and its clear in games against "lesser" sides.

One of the biggest issues is also Jorginho. Ever since he was found out by Everton and then again by spuds, he is a shadow of himself. He was immense prior to that and we were winning and playing good football. Then it went downhill. If he is in the squad to keep possesion but we do fuck all with that possesion, its absolutely pointless to have him in first 11. Kante is also playing in wrong role too because of Jorginho and Sarri. Sarri needs to get his shit sorted. Playing Eden and Kante who are our best players out of position, playing Willian and Alonso who suck and Jorginho who has little to no impact. Dont get me wrong, Jorg is important but for the sake of nice ball rotation and possesion stats, it brings 10 other problems to the table that have to be adressed. Sarri will have to change something. You cant fuck up the entire midfield just to accommodate Jorginho. And Willian playing worst football in ages, but instead of dropping him, Sarri puts him in his favourite place and instead throws our best attacker Eden in false 9 where he cant thrive as much. Eden on left, Pedro in middle because of his runs and tactical understanding and Willian on right is how we should play until we find new cf. Didnt Pedro sometimes play false nine in barca before? But just because Eden can hold on ball better, yeah lets just play him in middle because of that and completely fuck up his entire impact he can give from the wings. We have been crap in chance creation before but now its travesty looking at Willian, Alonso, Pedro and Azpi try to create something from flanks.

Well I said that because of Willian "shots". 9/10 times he tries weak, on the ground and straight at gk shot. Sure it happens sometimes, but thats his every week average. Also when Alonso missed that chance in 90th min I actualy started laughing my ass off. Usualy I would be mad, but this is comical. And you know they will be picked for next match again. Alonso and Willian are garbage but at this point its all on Sarri. Why the hell he keeps picking these players is beyond ridiculous. Jorginho is top in dictating the tempo, but he is slow and cant do shit in defence and it all got to a point of how useful is he actualy in the game? We have all the possesion big thanks to him, but still cant win so whats the point? Kovacic offers nothing in final third. Kante is extremely poor despite working hard. His city performance was top, but 80% of games this season he was far cry from his best. Willian and Alonso same old same old bad. If those two continue to play Sarri deserves the sack . I understand he wont bench them after one bad game, but they have been shit for weeks now.

We should just drop this striker pursuit and go with false 9. All strikers are either super expensive (and not even elite), too old or inexperienced. Go for Richarlison, Depay,...or someone similar and buy striker when a proper one will be on the market.

What did he achieve though? Some fancy flicks and tricks but thats it. Even last year when he was supposed to be on big rise, he was just above average. Doesnt have any sort of end product either. Then he got benched by Sancho. Its true he was injured but even when fit, he didnt have anywhere near the impact Sancho has. But because he is american, his is hype reached another universe. So yeah, I understand alot prefer Cho who is homegrown and talent wise on par with Pulisic. Pulisic might have more games on him but didnt develop much in that time, soo....and he didnt have regular playtime in months. If he came here, he would be completely inexperienced rookie, just like Cho. In the end its all about who we give the chance. For those 60m, dunno what the board is smoking again. They will want close to 100m still. Is he realy worth that cash considering his age? I would honestly go with Skriniar for similar sort of money who could be our pillar for next 8 years or so. Koulibaly is great, but anything above 60m on defenders is a joke unless they are already great and young. Defences are built on team chemistry and defenders playing together for couple seasons. Attackers are other thing because they can offer individual qualities that change the game in a second.

Shame Guingamp is so shit this year. They are such a nice team to watch. Played realy entertaining football and managed to end up around 10th place in ligue 1 for a few seasons despite having spend less than 500k a year on transfers.
