Losing is part of development. And its not like we will lose every game. Smaller clubs lose way more and they usualy produce best talent. Participating in CL and gaining european experience is also invaluable.

Well if you want him to improve, you have to play him. We honestly dont fight for trophies, so let just give them playtime. Its not like Giroud is going to score every game either.

And his long balls arent bad either. I was shocked after his Utd display, but he is getting to level where I said he is our best pure defender.

I never said Tammy will be great striker. But I think its stupid to say he is never going to be good enough based on few games. If we have this conversation at the end of the season when Tammy will have plenty games to show how good/average/bad he is, then I can easily agree he should be only a bench option. Jovic stinked in Benfica, but exploded in Frankfurt. It can happen. It probably wont, but there is small chance worth taking given that we dont realy have anyone more promising (Bats is about the same, but he had couple of seasons at the top already and didnt convince anyone)

Its weird seeing so much pessimism here. We play well but we have trouble scoring. Its a problem that can be fixed. Id be much more worried if we couldnt even create like last season. Defending will be a bitch this season but thats something we will have to strenghten in summer. As long Lamps doesnt play Willian, Pedro all the time, we will be fine. Those two and Azpi are some of the worst chance creators out there. I knew they were bad, but when you see them next to 20 yo teenagers, they look even worse. They stop every attack, all of our fluidity ends. Then the decision making and execution. Just shite.

Honestly we are playing best football in years. Realization and defending sucks, but we look lively, joyful and create plenty. Pressing is also fantastic. This could well be our next big generation, mark my words.

Literaly this was what people were saying before Emerson improved. Its all about seeing what you want to see. Abraham destroyed second league, so its hard to say he isnt talented. Maybe he will never be good, but to write him off after two games is complete bollocks. I remember people people writting Kdb and Salah off too, saying they will never be good enough for us. And sometimes even managers make big mistakes. I mean Giroud will never ever improve and be important player here. Abraham has a tiny chance to become good. In a season where we dont have much options, I dont see a reason why not test most of our young players. If one explodes, that means we save millions next summer and strenghten elsewhere. But if everyone judged players based on two games, we would still be playing with the likes of Alonso. Safe options and all. Complete turds though.

People say stuff too soon all the time. The case with Emerson is the most evident one People shat on him after few bad games but hbe improved massively. Yeah I think Michy should get his chances too. Its not like we have superb strikers in our team.

I think it was rather stupid tbh. They invested all Griezmann money in one player coming from one good season. And if he flopped, its big mistake. If he explodes as expected, he will likely leave to Barca/Real/etc eventualy. It always takes balls to take gambles, but Felix for 120m or so is probably the stupidest deal ever. You get world class player for that money.

We have been conceding left and right last season, this preseason and will probably through this season too. Its not just Azpi fault. Nor AC nor Zouma nor Luiz nor Alonso. Defending is collective and the have all been at fault more than once. That goes to our midfield too because Jorginho and Kovacic are rather shit because they get caught up almost every game. As long we have that kind of players in the team, we will continue to concede. It wont help if we just drop this or that player. The only worthy defenders here are Rudiger and Emerson with AC having somewhat of potential. Zouma was brilliant for Everton, but I dont know what the hell happend with him because he fucks it up every time. He was always questionable in possesion but if someone compared him last season with our defenders, he was probably the best at defending.

We were efficient simple as. Today United was efficient, but we were unlucky with those bars. Playing pretty means jack shit if you aint efficient and luck has little to do with it in the long term.

No Willian, no party. Im sure once our new #10 comes back, even our defence will become world class.

We have to give them games. The sooner the better. We will improve. Some players will return from injuries. It will be much better then because today we were unlucky as fuck and we played well. The only problem is our defence where we desperately need two quality players next summer unless Christensen and James totaly explode.

In a way I agree but Luiz was never good enough to be reliable CB longterm and this season being season to test things out, showing Luiz the door is the right time.

I have high hopes for our attack, but our defence is beyond pathetic
