Age is just a number mate. If you are good enough you are good enough or did people forget Ajax, Borussia etc? Its pretty obvious our youth is more productive and creative compared to some senior players. Btw did you not see we fielded many "men" as you say it and still lost to Valencia? Shouldnt Willian or Pedro who are men take responsibility and win the match? I mean thats what you implied. This bullshit that we need to field experienced players because its a tough game is plain crap and only comes out when we lose a game. Everyone thought we were more than capable when we fielded younger team vs Liverpool. But sure they are suddenly not good enough for Valencia while the likes of Pedro, Willian and Alonso are... We could have 18yo Messi here and people would still be like but Willian has more experience... No one is saying we should field our u21. We fielded some of senior players because there were injuries and we didnt have anyone else. But the point stands that some of them are shite and u21 players perform better. Who is even talking about Kante? He is quality player. Age has nothing to do with it. If you are good you are good and it can be 18yo or 34. And when I said defence, I meant the entire team, not just defenders.

Obviously Willian, Pedro and Alonso will play when others are injured. No one is blaming Frank for picking these players or saying they should not play. All Im saying is that this lot is shit. Past it. Not good enough for this club. Willian with best game in a long time, Alonso with decent game. Thats for their standards though. But what have they done with that good performance? We couldnt even score one shitty goal. Its clear as day and night when Emerson, Pulisic, Mount etc play and when this crap plays. We score and create for fun at the least. Defence is shit in either way tho.

They are simply not good enough. They completely stall our attack instead of doing team combinations to open up the defence. Thats why even the greenest of our youth proves to be more succesful because even they know the basics of passing, team work, movement and attacking creativity. We look very lively this season, except for the moments when Pedro and Willian play when we suddenly become narrow thanks to those two demanding and holding the ball all the time and do fuck all with it. Pedro, Willian believe to be the players that can do it alone ala Hazard except they arent anywhere near that quality to lead a team, nevermind a CL team. And in another thread I even praised Willian for ok performance, but if Willians good performance results in no goals, no assist, no created chances, a PK dispute with Barkley and a massive fuck up when he should of passed the ball...yes its time for him to be permamently on the bench. Meanwhile Alonso is just too slow. Valencia is good but they had silent fight with the board and coach for ditching the ex coach whole week. Barcelona rattled them with 5 goals and that was no freak barca night, it was just valencia being this poor. We honesty should have won, no one was saying it will be easy or that we should have won by 3 at least. But a win was nearly mandatory in current situation.

I dont want to interfere, but thats just so narrow. My granny could notice Emerson was the better player compared to Alonso and our former managers kept picking the later. Same happend with Ivanovic and Azpi few years ago. Managers know way more compared to us but they also pack alot of extra baggage that we fans dont. Sometimes its as simple to just see who is better and not being manipulated by personal relationship, status at the club, paycheck, stats,.... It reminds me of tha good old being in love with someone. Everyone sees it that person aint good enough for you, but you dont because of many many little detalis that cloud that simple picture. Sometimes those people get it realy wrong, but sometimes they are very right. So no, its definately not always true that manager is right.

Barkley missed tonight. Jorginho missed in the cup. And? Most will miss at some point. Even the very best. The thing is would trust Jorginho prior to this game and I still do. Obviously Im not in the trainings mate but its my opinion on observations from the past few years. Barkleys mentality is questionable at best, he almost always performs awful in games and its about as funny as sad that he is actualy our penalty taker in the club. Says plenty how low we have fallen. Its actualy my only issue with Lamps tbh if he actualy insists on Barkley being first choice pk taker. And why in the world would Tammy be the taker? Scoring record of those in second division doesnt make you cool as ice in first champions league game. And Im sure you know how high I praise him, but tonight I wouldnt place him to take it. Anyway what truly bothers me was that convo prior to taking the penalty. Its just bound to be saved or missed because it brings all the bad mood to whoever takes the penalty. Make a decision before the game and whoever is given that role, leave him be to shoot.

Doesn't know what end product is Guess its not just decision making but arrogance too IMO. He has a couple good games here and there and he usualy scores an odd key goal/indicidual action. I dont remember him being our real creative player, creating chance after chance in a match in a long time.

Because Milner actualy has certain pedigree and experience. Barkley is just a hyped up lad with nothing to back up. And it has nothing to do with best player at the club or anything, but with respect/experience/coolness for such situations. Barkley isnt our best penalty taker, nor best player, nor someone with years of service for this club, nor inform, nor even regular player. Our pk taker should be either Jorginho or Willian.

Valencia is having huge internat issues and we couldnt take advantage of that at home. We realy should have won because I guess it will only be harder away in Valencia and Ajax will give us run for money. Also its blatant how bad Pedro, Willian, Alonso...etc are. Nowhere near the top anymore. Being completely overshadowed by our younger players and basicaly any decent player in good european clubs. I just hope we put all our eggs into youth basket because althrough thats a risk, they still provide more than our "experienced" players. They are that shit. Willy had a nice game though, but that means he will suck in next 5 or so and he didnt even get a goal or anything.

Our priority this season should be to try scoring more than opponent. Get that attacking chemistry going, make sure everyone gets involved, build up the team work and develop players. Our young players to enjoy and play as relaxed as possible. Then we fix our defence come summer and next season. This is what rebuild looks like and how it should be done going from pragmatic/defensive to attacking football. Sarri last year was simply a doll to play fancy football but with instantly many many restictions and expectations that cant be achieved nor demanded in transition seasons. Now we have no pressure, just a manger and bunch of young players enjoying, experimenting and developing every week.

I had high hopes for our youth, but what they are doing is something hardly believable. Realy happy for the lads tho and that is with Odoi and RLC yet to return. Nice to see forum finaly started appreciating our boys. Just make sure to support them when they have a shit game or two instead of looking like a bandwagoners and form an opinion after every good/bad game.

Is it even chelsea game if we dont concede a shit goal?

And the small stuff like Tammy running towards Lamps...its what builds character and team spirit and reminded me of Klopp at Pool. Might have some shit games but the passion and team work is always there. I didnt recognize that from Sarri last year, he was more like an outsider coaching a group of players rather than being a part of the team.

Speaking of boring, I actualy quit watching a few games last season, something I never did before. You just knew we aint gonna turn it around in 1000minutes nevermind 30 or so. This year, our attack is realy a joy to watch though.

I understand you, Im not happy about all of this either, but thats just the way football is nowdays. We can always say no and he becomes next "Mbappe or Sancho" in Bayern, Liverpool etc.

Fair to say he is the most loved footballer ever? I dont remember anyone else being as respected and liked by even the fiercest rivals. He is the reminder that football isnt all about cash, instagram and ego.

Just realised we had 3rd best defence last season. Despite obvious flaws and lot of complaining here, we didnt do as bad in general at all. But this year, our defence is truly bad. Hopefuly Rudi and Kante return improves our backline.
