I think wage structure came in the way and I don't think Osimhen is the kind of player you break a wage structure for.

My feeling - we end up with Summerville for LW Nico Williams, Olise, Doue, Mathys Tel were out of reach. Adeyemi was not a serious target.

I was going by the person who posted on this thread saying City's best players were bought before "proven" Only goes to reinforce the point we need to be more aggressive in the 22-27 age bracket of the transfer market

They have bought many before they were proven - Alvarez, Ederson, Ruben Dias, Ake, Akanji. But they do spend when they need to - Grealish, Rodri, Haaland, Dias, Gvardiol. They have been seriously linked to senior players like Paqueta, Eze, Dani Olmo in last one year. Asking for 2-3 senior players to round up the young squad we have and give us some leadership is not as crazy as people here are making it out to be. Our summer signings so far - Kellyman (18), Guiu (18), Veiga (20), KDH (25), Tosin (26) when there are obvious gaps still left to be addressed - GK and striker.

Can't believe the situation the club has got into because of this. We identified him, went all in on him and got him as the midfield lynchpin for years. He won't be sold. Buyers will wait for this to blow over. A lot of people are rightly pissed at him. This will harm the squad if the club doesn't act strongly against Enzo on this. Can expect tension with Nkunku, Fofana and Disasi.

I believe The Athletic over their President’s claims. They have made concessions on who they sign in the last few windows - Oriol Romeu for 3.4 million was their biggest signing last summer.

He will be central. Our left side options are Mudryk and Sterling unfortunately. Even if the price is decent, I would not move for Alvarez. He's the best of the available strikers but he's too similar to Nkunku and plays as a second striker better than on his own up-front. We will need to invest in a striker soon even if we sign him.

The direction United are going has me convinced we will be well above them. Mainoo is a real find but their signings have been middling. De Ligt, Zirkzee and Ugarte - is not going to raise their level by a lot. De Ligt in particular I think will struggle in England.

Lot of quality players in the market too - Olise, Nico, Olmo, Simons, Calafiori. Our wage structure means we are not in the mix for any of them.

Pre-season starting and our signings are Tosin at CB, Renato Veiga at LB, KDH in midfield and 2 youngsters in Guiu and Kellyman. Need one attacker to feel at ease about the new season. The injury returns will raise the level of our performances.

Doubt it will take a big fee. Hasn't signed a contract beyond 26. + Milan would be open to sell. Seem to have little funds, aren't bidding for Zirkzee

Hope we don't fuck around with a ball playing keeper and just go get him after the Euros. He's just turned 29 but I think he can continue at the top level for a while and is ready to make the jump to a high level PL keeper.
