  1. Disagree. Paulo is okay being 7th choice RB. so i dont mind having a decent back-up who wont make a fuss out of not playing regularly
  2. i am still not convinced that -------torres hazard mata hulk --mikel lampard will work. Hulk as a player could be great but will this team work well together or be aware of their defensive duties? i am not sure yet.
  3. Ah. I see that Indians are invading TC now. maybe it's just the one billion population Welcome to the forum mate
  4. 1. United- fergie to leave on a high. ,moyes to take over 2. chelsea 3. City - 3 way title race 4. Arsenal - RVP keeps them in CL, then leaves for Real 5. Liverpool - Rodgers comes close 6. Newcastle - Stable 7. Everton 8. Spurs - modric bale and vdv leave 9. Fulham 10. Reading . . . . . 18. Norwich 19. southampton 20. QPR CL - Semis - Chelsea vs Real Madrid, Juventus vs ManCity Real beat ManC in final PL Golden Boot : van persie PL player of the year - Shinji Kagawa FWA player of the year - Landon Donovan - Everton
  5. Modric will be expensive. i would rather have a cheaper alternative than Modric Moutinho (although, not much cheaper) cabaye, bender, martinez,
  6. everyday we delay finalising our managerial position, is a day wasted. hopefully, we will have di matteo and the new signings in place before the end of the euros and then we can start the pre-season with no uncertainty. ins - hazard, hulk, cabaye, debuchy/azpi (not vdw), marin, kdb outs - kalou, bosingwa, drogba, malouda, benayoun, essien ----------torres Hazard Mata Hulk/Sturr ---Ramires Lampard Cole Terry DL4/GC24 Ivanovic ----------Cech Bench: Turnbull DL4/GC24 Mikel Meireles Marin Hulk/Sturridge Lukaku Reserves: Bertrand Fereira Hutchinson McEachran Piazon KDB
  7. we have 3 cb's and 1 rb who play consistently. that is Nowhere near enough. Hutch and Kane haven't been elevated for a reason and Bruma has been sent back on loan. essien cant cut it at CM, so forget about him playing RB anymore. ramires' pace will be severly under-utilized at RB. we obviously need a right back. the world is not insane just because it doesn't agree with you
  8. no comments. haven't seen him much. is he the creative type though? haven't even seen hulk much but i want him
  9. true but i dont think we have enough options tbh modric - over 40mil Sneijder - growing old Christian Eriksen, - CAM - we have mata already Kagawa - would have been the perfect fit actually but United Cabaye - dont see him leavin Newc just yet can't think of any other viable candidates at the moment. not yet convinced by marvin martin etc
  10. I dont think we will sign a CM if we get hulk in. seeing as we got 60mil for winning the champions league, i think hazard and hulk are affordable but with ffp coming, we cant spend on another player. maybe a marin-esque deal for under 10 mil for a good midfielder but not a class playmaker for sure. assuming di matteo continues his current 4-2-3-1 formation i think ramires and lampard at the CM positions. Mikel and Meireles rotated with Romeu as the backup. Hulk and Sturridge on the right, Hazard and Marin on the left, Mata and KDB down the centre and Torres and sturridge/hulk/lukaku up top. we are good to go
  11. The risk of Guardiola getting it wrong is higher. di matteo knows the players and more importantly has shown his tactical shrewdness. our transfer activity so far has been encouraging and i have no doubts di matteo will incorporate marin, kdb and obviously hazard into the team. he has already established a formation and working tactic which will be even better with hazard on the wing rather than Kalou. if guardiola comes in - we start from scratch. again.
  12. Goals vs Arsenal in pretty much all of those seasons lol. include that glorious freekick at the emirates vs Everton - his best ever in terms of technique vs Barca (2006), vs Liverpool, vs Spurs (2012) - his other swivel and shoot goals. vs Juve in CL. Liverpool in CL semi and vs everton - FA Cup final vs ManUnited - FA Cup Final 2007, vs Arsenal 2009 FA Cup Semi vs Hull, Everton, Wigan Hat-trick - 2009-10 vs Barca, Napoli - 2012 that's pretty much it i guess
  13. Good Luck to Brendan Rodgers. I hope he picks up where King Kenny left off
  14. it stems from the fact that chelsea cant make it work and also that it is quite boring for the "thrill-seekers". can't help it
  15. but seriously, u cant possibly be suggesting that chelsea will implement tiki taka AND make it work?
  16. Amen. The number of guys who think Pep will be better than di matteo is embarrassing. tactically perfect set-up all the way to munich + rotation + did not over -rely on seniors + attacking philosophy before + and this is the clincher for me - Blue Blood
  17. eddie newton should get as much credit as di matteo imo. tactically perfect setup, especially against benfica and barca
  18. exactly tiki taka is pass pass and move. dont see chelsea doin that even if pep tries tbh. i think pep will try the manc or rmcf way with chelsea. direct attacking football. no tiki taka nonsense
  19. bloody hell http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/346650/20120530/chelsea-news-guardiola-abramovich-meeting-falcao-transfer.htm http://www.thesun.co...k-business.html
  20. di Matteo deserves it. he has shown a very attacking philosophy - mk dons and west brom - and more importantly he has a connection with the players while at the same time, he knows that it is time for change. abramovich may be calling the shots on the transfers but di matteo has dropped essien completely, used the seniors lesser as the season entered the business end and gave a chance to bertrand, lukaku. he is definitely the man
  21. ^we are spending on the RB. now that bosingwa's gone. but all this depends on di matteo's(?) formation for next season. will he continue with the 4-2-3-1? also, will ramires be our new yaya toure? mikel doesn't cut it as a Box2Box midfielder. he's more of an anchor man. so given that mata was not having enough options to pass to and Lampard working as a deep lying playmaker now, ramires as a box to box alongside lampard or mikel would be a master-stroke in the current formation. don't think having two lines of four players spread across the field in our own half will work next season edit: although he has been better on the wings than at CM
  22. I would sign one of Hulk or Hazard and if it came down to it, i would choose hulk over hazard but seeing as we are set to sign hazard, i dont think hulk is necessary any more. FFP is coming and we have to keep an eye on our finances. also, ramires, sturridge kdb and marin will be perfectly good enough wing options not to mention Lucas Piazon who may play in the carling cup or get the chance to play with the big boys if there is an injury crisis. But i do worry that if torres doesn't start scoring early in the season, he will be under a lot of pressure and that way hulk would be a good signing because he can give us depth in the ST role. Lukaku is not anywhere near ready to play consistently but I think Sturridge at ST is worth a shout. He is fast, and has a good left foot on him and has shown at Bolton that he is a good poacher
  23. he isn't useless against the smaller teams, mate. also, we can save a lot more by not buying hulk anyday. ramires and sturridge on the right is enough if we are looking to save cash but if we do sign hulk then it should be essien malouda in the exit list ahead of ramires
