  1. Lukaku took the wrong option there. Couldn't do anything after Mignolet got a touch
  2. Happy Birthday Choulo! Hopefully 3 points to go with it!
  3. Looks like Cesar's at LB again. I don't agree but hopefully it turns out fine http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3546609/title/mourinho-carry-on-cesar
  4. It's a shame about KdB. He had a good pre-season, started vs Hull and had a good game as well. Willian was probably brought in probably because Jose felt that he needed 1 more direct player but KdB has been lost in the shuffle due to that.
  5. Azpilicueta is not the answer to the problem at Left-back though. he did okay defensively against Schalke but very limited in attack. Why isn't Ryan Bertrand played at LB? Last season, he played well when Ash was injured around April. Year before, he had another good spell of games at Left-back under RDM. Given, Cole has struggled with form and fitness, why not put Ryan in the team. He offers a lot more going forward
  6. Longest 2 hours of any Chelsea fan's life with Drogba's last kick in a Chelsea shirt sealing the win. Football doesn't get much better than this
  7. Consider the sample size though. Hazard was leading the chances created stats in October when barely 2-3 months of football had been played. He is not anymore.
  8. Take the "Chances created" stat in isolation. Why do you assume that creating chances equals playing well? It is used to judge a players' creativity not a measure of whether he is playing well, so the Hazard example doesn't fit in here. Hazard leads EPL chances created stats. Hazard has not played extremely well this season. Both statements are true imo but completely separate. Even if a few chances do not make it into the stats, it doesn't make the statistics obsolete. If you look around, you see Baines, Silva, Ozil, Eriksen etc near the top of the stats and that I think is fair.
  9. All the more baffling when you think of Ashley's injury/bad form and Ryan doing okay in the couple of games he's played
  10. yeah. even last year he tore their defence apart at the Bridge.
  11. So Alonso is out of the running... I think we will sign a midfielder in January. It is obvious that the CM position lacks quality and depth especially with van Ginkel's injury lay-off.
  12. Arsenal too. They won the Top 4 trophy in 2012 because of RvP
  13. Jagielka in for Cahill but yeah, that's about the best team England can put out. Can't believe Milner, Cleverley, etc still start for them.
  14. Piazon has been very good for Vitesse so far, even PvA
  15. Why was it allowed? The South Africa coach was pissed off
  16. I was skeptical about this deal. 30mil on a position that didn't need strengthening. But it's nice to see him doing well.
  17. that second goal was awesome. Controlled the ball, didn't even look at the keeper or the goal, just smashed it in. Bottom corner
  18. He is 27 btw and yes, a class striker in his prime will definitely make a difference. No, not worth 50mil and there is also Lukaku trying to break into the first team. Don't think rumours are even remotely true. He probably went to watch our Belgians or some other player in the Colombia vs Belgium match.
  19. Tough games for the top teams this weekend. Merseyside derby, Man City vs Spurs, Arsenal vs Soton...Can creep up back to 2nd with a win
  20. Yeah. He has a contract till 2015 too unlike Terry, Cole etc and doesn't seem to have a big role in the squad.
  21. Carrick out injured now but yeah, he isn't used often. Wilshere started with Milner on Friday. A man who has hardly started for City and that too rarely in Central Midfield. England don't have a strong settled core like some of the other top national teams. Roy is still experimenting - handing debuts to new 'flavour of the month' players. Germany should really walk over this England team.
  22. How did the papers come to the conclusion that Jose was there to watch Falcao? It could have been any of the Belgian players who play for Chelsea. Could have been someone else among the two teams like say, Witsel. But they aren't worth 50million, so he's definitely there to watch Falcao...
  23. Personality Type: Energetic doer Famous example - Bruce Willis, actor, Donald Trump, Businessman
  24. Still no new contract. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9028204/
