  1. In terms of outgoing centrebacks, I would rather sell Christensen/Rudiger/Zouma depending on the market for them before considering sending out Tomori.
  2. Of course. Does not make 36 yo Silva any less of a gamble. ITK
  3. Wasn't he the same one who was harping on about Werner to Liverpool even after all journos had broken the news?
  4. Even on a free for one year its a gamble. Silva without the quality around him at PSG and at 36 is a hard pass.
  5. Telegraph - https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/08/19/chelsea-close-kai-havertz-signing-players-valuation-remains/
  6. Would be ideal. But I hope this forum got its Havertz update fix for the next few days at least
  7. But there is no need for Chelsea to hurry up is there? There is no competition for Havertz this summer and the club can surely take some time to get a better value on the deal now that they know Havertz is keen to move and is pushing Leverkusen to finish negotiations.
  8. It is understood that suggestions of a deal for Chilwell being close are premature.
  9. My guess is there's no one format for every deal. Each clubs work in their own manner. But yes I'd love it if someone did a detailed piece or podcast explaining this
  10. Romano also saying talks on, no agreement
  11. Everyone here should get a good book to read or something while scrolling for transfer news.
  12. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/aug/18/luka-modric-roman-abramovich-brought-me-onto-his-yacht-and-said-sign-for-chelsea Luka Modric extract: 'Meeting Roman Abramovich on his yacht was exciting'
  13. Re-upping this. In general, it is a good measure of reliability
  14. That is a Daily Star story. Bottom tier source
  15. Smart from Ethan to try and fight for a place in an inconsistent position in the squad. Could always go on loan at the end of the window if it has to come to that
  16. I think this is Lampard's assessment of the CB situation as well.
  17. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12050822/kai-havertz-chelsea-and-bayer-leverkusen-apart-on-valuation-ben-chilwell-deal-close-the-insider Sky's Kaveh Solhekol saying a Chilwell deal is close.
  18. Yes but not like any alternative is defensively solid apart from maybe Alaba who is out of reach.
  19. Yes, completely schooled AWB. He should be the left-back signing and that would allow the club to get in a centre-back, GK on top of Havertz
  20. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8631625/Chelsea-set-beat-Tottenham-40m-race-Brighton-defender-Lewis-Dunk.html And Daily Fail now. I hope this is not true. Just don't buy anyone if there's no serious upgrade available!
