  1. How is Bruno still on the pitch? Unbelievable
  2. Chelsea linked to Moises Caicedo by Daily Fail
  3. Arsenal - derby game and could be a jolt in morale. Last few performances have been a slog
  4. We need a Lamptey-type elevation. Or someone playing out of position vs Villa at home.
  5. Mendy Azpi Zouma Silva Emerson Kovacic Kante Mount Ziyech Werner Pulisic
  6. 3-0 but both fullbacks injured+ major improvement needed in performance
  7. FFS so casual on the ball on a few counter attacks
  8. Everyone's dream. Not sure about working with Raiola
  9. Just a thought since Pulisic seems to be having too many niggles and Werner can play up front. Left wing is a spot we could strengthen and Grealish can also play through the middle in a 4-3-3 (?)
  10. Yep, and the idea that Lampard should be given time like Klopp or Pep is nothing but blind faith. Good managers must be given time but if you see a manager with questionable tactical calls, lack of in-game management then there is no need to go on longer with him. This is his second season and by the end of this if Chelsea is still playing basketball matches, I would be clamouring for a change. His time here will be viewed positively because of the situation he walked into. But if he cannot take this squad to the elite European level then we search for a manager who can.
  11. No even though his progress has been remarkable under Bielsa. Good on him and the manager for sticking with him when he was missing chances in the Championship. He is comfortably keeping a Spain international Rodrigo out of the side.
  12. When Williams/Phillios is thrown into that defense, it has Robertson, Fabinho who are better than our crop and the team has a set style of playing. Some of our players maybe comparable - Chilwell, Silva etc but Liverpool's current team is a different level to ours in teamwork, aggression, coordinated pressing.
  13. Liverpool has an elite squad around this unheard of player and they play to protect the kid.
  14. Liverpool clear by 3 points despite having a terrible year tells you everything really. Hope talk of a Chelsea title challenge are over now. Lampard should concentrate on racking up 70+ points for a comfortable top 4 finish. It is a bit like the Championship this year from 2nd to mid-table and anyone can look like genuine top 4 contenders.
  15. Lampard's quotes after the game. “We should have seen the game out,” Lampard said. “If you’re not playing well, which we weren’t, you should hang on, not allow counterattacks.” Also suggests team didn't respond to the plan laid out. "We have been given different kind of games in these last two, Everton made it difficult for us to break them down – we didn’t succeed with that – and Wolves played very much a counterattacking style. The players have to feel that on the pitch because the message was very clear about their counterattack and individuals who could hurt us and that’s disappointing." Frank can say players didn't adapt all he wants but in-game management comes from manager instructions, decisions during the game.
  16. My worry is that Lampard will become pragmatic in search of points like last season. Shouldn't be doing that yet but few players need a rude wake-up call.
  17. The performance was bad but before the last two games, there were signs of progress with the 4-3-3 and with the form of attackers, Kante, Reece that we had a settled XI. Not like it was raining chances for Wolves or Everton but yes, the attack was horrific. Going with Havertz and Giroud last night was the wrong call imo and teams have wisened up to play a low block, counter game against Chelsea and crowd the middle of the pitch.
  18. This. Even on the last cross by Chilwell where someone sweeping up the second ball would also prevent the counter that led to Neto scoring
  19. Not as bad as TC will make this performance seem like but there are massive issues to address. Havertz was the big call tonight and Frank got it wrong. His pressing was poor and led to Wolves pressure coming down his side. His performance also affected James and Werner. In-game, there has to be a better way to deal with being 1-0 up against a counter attacking side like Wolves? This was West Ham 2019-20 all over again. Not saying park the bus but the defenders were sitting ducks even before the equaliser went in.
  20. Havertz really needs to be taken out of the firing line.
  21. Disaster on the level of West Ham last year
