  1. Results in both games against Milan? I'm not confident.
  2. Could even be that Luis Campos freelances till the summer and we hire Edwards next year after his break is over
  3. @VesperWhat about Kenneth Taylor? Ajax replaced Gravenberch with him and seems to be just as good
  4. This is good. Potter gets plenty of time with just the CL home game vs Salzburg to negotiate
  5. 7 of those years he spent taking a fourth division Swedish team to the top flight and the Europa League. Can't compare his career to Poch or Wenger's teams
  6. You're right - Without hindsight - Sterling, Fofana, Cucurella and Koulibaly were good pickups. But board was pushing for Ronaldo and Kounde - spending energy on those deals instead of sorting out other issues. About the 4-3-3 - It sounds incredulous but also don't see why Athletic would be reporting if they hadn't heard about this. Sounds like a very strange detail to be making up
  7. Tuchel wanted Matthijs de Ligt, Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong and Presnel Kimpembe. He did not want Kounde and Ronaldo which were broadly the right decisions for me. The club also reportedly drew up plans for a 4-4-3 formation - some amateur stuff happening if true. All the club briefings on the sacking point to a broken relationship and I have no qualms with the decision. But to say Todd and co. are doing a good job after this transfer window is a big leap for me. I feel they have the enthusiasm and the best interests at heart but I am not convinced they are going to run this club efficiently yet. They have to be held accountable for this summer as much as Tuchel
  8. Next weekend is the funeral. Fail to plan, plan to fail by the Premier League. Everyone else is going ahead. This empty weekend was so avoidable
  9. Though it helps Potter that the only game this month will be Salzburg at home in the CL
  10. She is just someone who was very effective in holding onto her personal wealth and the royalty became part of a wider celebrity culture in her reign. The office of the monarch also oversaw the oppression of many countries. I don't know why anything needs to be stopped for them.
  11. Going by that Athletic article - Tuchel was making far more sense than the owners in terms of the transfers. The club has briefed all journalists and Tuchel's version of things is not out there as much. But it seems, Tuchel wanted Matthijs de Ligt, Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong and Presnel Kimpembe. He did not want Kounde and Ronaldo which were broadly the right decisions for me. The communication breakdown between owners and Tuchel is a serious issue and it seems to be over Tuchel not wanting to take up a lot of the recruitment responsibilities and instead focus on the coaching part. Here, Tuchel should have stepped up - He did not have the same energy in the summer to sync up with the new structure and instead talked about missing Petr Cech and how he's not liking recruitment I can understand the club's decision to sack Tuchel but Todd and co. are accountable from now on. They have to hold up to their ideals of long-term vision and planning at least with Potter.
  12. The moral of the story is read and respond to WhatsApp messages!
  13. Really like his teams. But we've moved 3 months too early. Can't see us going interim till WC
  14. Sky reporting Potter headed to London to meet Boehly later this afternoon
