  1. Everton would be career suicide for Connor but I think with this interest confirmed, others will enter the picture - Palace, Newcastle
  2. Benfica have to consider a bid of this size - despite their public position. There is a good chance no one comes in with a 100m bid for Enzo in the summer or ever again. Todd and Eghbali seem like they want to bring in new signings before the amortisation rules change - tie Enzo down to a 7.5 + 1 year like Mudryk
  3. Would have been nice to have him immediately but we're looking far more serious next season. 26m is decent price and glad we've managed to get a backup RB finally
  4. and then had the biggest meltdown of his career the next season. He had an exciting, young squad that he ignored for short term gains' His last good work was probably building that Inter Milan side.
  5. Not even a decade ago - by then Guardiola and Klopp had changed the way the game was played at the top level.
  6. Quite telling his message did not name Arsenal specifically.
  7. When he is the only winger in any sort of form. If only Pulisic was not injured and could be packed off this month
  8. Yep, both Lavia and Onana may only be available in the summer.
  9. 15 year contract and keep him till he retires?
  10. Cucurella did well and Mudryk looked good - intrigued if he can elevate the dud attack we have
  11. Dharmesh Sheth from Sky Sports is below Tier 4
  12. It is still a big transfer but small solace that it is a 62m fee up front and 97k/week salary. Wage structure is not disbalanced by that.
  13. Tier 1 isn't saying it yet but looks like this is the week the club moves for Caicedo when his new agent is in. No Enzo and possibly no Zakharyan hurts. Caicedo is agile but I don't see how this transforms us playing against low blocks
  14. I like that he's not one of those owners who are perpetually hiding. Going on Twitter spaces after the Palace game and constantly being involved at the club is a really good sign. Doesn't change anything about the scrutiny over his decisions. His track record is horrific so far in his attempt to uproot and overhaul every department at the club. But I'd wait and see how they adapt. The group put together seem to know what they are doing and there is talk Michael Edwards is still being courted to come in from June after his break is over.
  15. Think both CMs we sign need to be able to pass/play their way out of a press. The idea of a holding mid and a playmaking mid is very 2000s
  16. I like all that I'm reading about him being a Ronaldo-inspired fitness freak. Hoping that unlike Pulisic and the other attackers, he has the appetite to keep going even when defenders in this league are throwing in challenges.
  17. Posted already. Noise about Caicedo
  18. Perhaps a good thing he's not part of the squad in this unstable season and he can come in with some PL experience next year. top-level experience next year. Just thankful they didn't sell him in the summer when the club was negotiating for Cucurella Fofana, Badiashile, Silva, Colwill and Chalobah could be a good set of options.
  19. HG numbers. Currently it is 9 including Castillo who can't be considered - Bettinelli, Chalobah, RLC, Sterling, Mount, Chilwell, Gallagher, James, Castillo. I think we keep all our HG players, maybe move on RLC and replace him with Levi
  20. At least everyone fought well. Few good performances - Hall (apart from some shaky giveaways), Ziyech and Silva. Mason needs to be dropped - can’t ever find the right ball
  21. That was a beautiful tribute to Vialli. All those former players out on the pitch.
  22. Problem when you are a club mouthpiece who just relays what they say. Matt Law said this four days ago
  23. Worried about exactly this. How good is he in tight spaces will be the real question. This is welcome but the midfield needs a refresh at the moment
  24. Know the board want to clean-house but it is crazy to be prioritising a deal for Mudryk over strengthening the midfield at the moment. Arsenal will regroup and find a player who is not valued so high. Five months ago Shakhtar were looking for 30m from Brentford for Mudryk (Link - https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/aug/31/brentford-transfer-record-sign-shakhtar-mykhaylo-mudryk ) They've tripled that valuation now with our bid. This approach from Boehly-Eghbali is crazy and unsustainable.
