I can't give you a quote from the Quaran, because I have not read it. I've also read a number of things from the old testament that leave a lot of room for interpretation. You could also argue that whatever was written was interpreted from something else. As for direct quotes from the Quaran, I'm not in a position to give them to you. Maybe a muslim member of the board can help you out.

The reason it is so hard to define Islam or other religions is because there are many interpretations practiced by many people. Yes, there are people who have taken the Quran and believe that homosexuality is wrong. There are also a large number of Muslims that don't believe that. There are lots of Atheist homophobes out there too. Some Catholics believe abortions are wrong, some believe in a Woman's right to choose. There are lots of people of all faiths (and non-religions people) doing horrible things. Basically, there are lots of idiots and assholes out there. Some of them choose to hide behind their religion in order to justify their ignorance and abhorrent actions.

Bamford's not going to happen. His ceiling is lower than Borini's IMO. Hope he turns it around, but I'm not expecting anything.

I love Zlatan's brand of arrogance. However, I can't see him willing to be out of the CL. I see him at Utd or Bayern. He hasn't played in England or Germany, I think he'll be in one of those leagues next. He's still too good for MLS

I think he did do phenomenal work and got them playing above their level. It was above the level of the team before he got here, so why wouldn't that be true? (I do agree with the I think he does burn a squad out though. He likes a settled XI with very little rotation, but more importantly, I think he burns them out mentally. Jose has a huge chip on his shoulder, all the time. He gets the siege mentality going and looks for slights to keep the fire burning. I just think that the players can maintain that too. They won the league and couldn't get that same intensity going. He's been obsessed with Pep and beating Pep since being turned down for the Barca job. His play became even more defensive and anti-Barca. He's still obsessed with it. I just don't think that most players can keep a grudge for as long as he does.

Can't agree with this. He made a commitment to Italy, and to abandon them right before the tournament would be disgraceful IMO. There's a reason why international managers manager's contracts usually end after major tournaments. It's the culmination of 2 years hard work. I don't think City fans expected Pep to quit Bayern right before the knock-out stages of the CL started.

Since we are effectively playing exhibition matches until the end of the season, I wouldn't be against the idea of Conte asking Guus to try a few things out to see if they work and what's missing. The City and Spurs matches are super-important still, but would like them to try and experiment in some of the others.

I like Oscar more than most in this forum. However, he can't ever be mentioned alongside Iniesta.

I think you could play Pjanic and Fabs together, but only in a 433 with a defensive midfielder behind them (not Nainggolan or another box to box, a real defensive midfielder). I like Pjanic. I didn't include Di Maria because he went for quite a hefty fee. Forgot about Sneijder. After leaving Madrid, Sneijder had a legitimate claim to having the best year of any footballer in 2010. CL winner at Inter, then the WC Final. Just looked up the fees. Ajax -> Madrid 27M EUR. 2 years later, Madrid -> Inter 15M EUR. It was quite a busy 2009 window for Madrid, lot's of in's. The direct replacement would be Kaka though. 65M. They also bought Ronaldo, Benzema, and Alonso. Shipped off Robben that summer too (25M). That is a very busy window for the club shop.

It's great for the rest of football though. Just wait until Madrid offload someone because they bought a replacement they didn't need. Robben, Higuain, Ozil, MAKELELE That's just off the top of my head.
