Yeah, it's the players around him. For all the "Playstation" talk you could see him organizing players in the build up. Telling Cahill and Matic where to be, or where they should of been as he was playing the ball to his second option. He got caught out in midfield once or twice and didn't get back fast enough, but overall, he's been solid.

He also knows how to get around 3rd party ownership.

If David Luiz was having the match that Cahill is having, we'd be hearing non stop about how much of a liability he is.

Our squads aren't as strong the the 2 Manchester sides. But, we don't have to rotate as much. Barring injury or suspension, we can play our best/in form XI every week.

We're better now than we were 4 months ago. Good window. The greedy side of me wishes that we had brought in a B2B midfielder as well. But, we brought in 5 players. A 3rd choice keeper who we'll probably never see, but needed. A young backup striker who's only a backup because we play 1 up top, who has been electric off the bench. Makelele 2.0. A CB who's composure on the ball is fantastic, and pushed for the move here. A FB we desperately needed, even if it's for depth. Overall, pretty good. At least 2, maybe 3 players right in to the starting XI. Kept all of our key players too.

I thought that too. But, then I remembered, we don't need quite as much depth as previous seasons. No mid-week matches.

To be fair, I'd take Marcelo too.

I'd say that it's time to break out my Luiz shirt again. But, the truth is, I never really put it away.

Remember when we were gung-ho for him? Zouma was the cheap back-up plan alternative.

I'd think that Sissoko is our Brozovic back-up plan.

I wanted them to buy him last summer. Don't know how he's played in Spain.

Dortmund getting Bartra for 8M Euro looks like a pretty good deal these days.

The funny thing is, we looked to be on track for Rudiger, our first. And most people were complaining about paying 20M for him. Those were the days. Before we went down the Koulibaly K-hole.

I know, with my head, that it's ridiculous to pay 30-35M on a 29 year old defender. I know he has his lapses. But, I love him. One of my favourites. This team this season is so likeable. I love the way they've been playing, the passion, the attitude. Bring him back and make it even more fun! #geezer

I'd love it if they did that. I was actually keen on Brozovic based on just reading about his style of play and trusting that he's the kind of player that Conte wants. I think a B2B with Kante and Fabs would be ideal. By the time we'll want Bazoer, he'll be at a club that doesn't want to sell him to us. I'm sure there's a good reason for it, it's not like the people on the board don't know who he is or what is potential will be. I'd just like to see an exciting young signing since we can't get any of the established players.

The Remy move is puzzling. There have been reports of people wanting him on loan or permanent transfer. I don't think it's strange that he's gone. I think it's strange that we've known he was probably leaving for a while but we haven't been linked with any one in to replace him. Part of the deal with leaving things until the end is that teams need to get replacements in so are unwilling to sell.

Now we're getting 2 fullbacks, supposedly? Maybe Alonso is being brought in as a CB? 3ATB, Alonso as LCB. It's either going to be a very interesting couple of days, or super boring with our name being mentioned a lot, and nothing backing it up.
