Thought it was a mistake to start with 352. But, today showed us why it's important to get the first goal. West Ham gave us no space. The whole box was claret and blue. We were't sharp enough to break through.

You may want to edit that typo.... I'm of course, giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming that's not what you really mean
-
Piss off Man U, we were here first. Don't know if they are actually interested, or if it's just a way of driving the price up.
-
Pretty good in the air and would be able to swing in the Azpi-style crosses from the LCB position as well. Either way, good squad player to have, but we desperately need another LWB.
-
We're definitely going to get PSG. Also, no more Zapp at LWB, please.

Neymar was 220 last summer. Fees are going up. Hazard is 250

I don't know how much Marina knows about football (because her background is business, not football, not because she's a woman). I know that deals take forever to get done, but I can't really argue with the fees we pay and receive. 60M for Oscar 60M for Costa who had burned his bridges and made it clear he was only going to one place.

People say that they'd rather have Lukaku leading a counter attack?
-
This is shocking news. I wonder what it was that actually made this happen.
-
This could have been a very different result if Lukaku had been playing.
-
On the surface, it doesn't look like we're going to get anything out of this match. However, that's when we seem to always show up, when no one (including our supporters) thinks we have a chance.

I suppose. Getting sacked from Chelsea is no big deal. It's not like it's a blemish on your record, it's almost a right of passage. I do think that manager's still don't want to be sacked (even if it ultimately doesn't matter), but win now and playing the youth don't really mix very well. Not many get that balance right.
-
Apparently, he knows how to circumvent 3rd party ownership.
-
It's because they can't risk it. Don't win, get sacked.

Klopp gets a free pass because the press is full of ex-Liverpool players. Mourinho was right about that. If you go to the Guardian site, what would be a small story having to do with Liverpool down at the bottom of the page, is front and centre on the Sky site. I actually like Klopp and his personality, but it feels like they would need to be in a relegation battle before the knives came out in the media.

He was so direct when he came on against Watford. Didn't stop the ball and play with it for 30 seconds while everyone just stands around, like usual. Got the ball, looked to play in a cross or pass to a team mate. Would love to see that more often.
-
The squad looks knackered. This is going to be a long season, I think.
-
I thought we were pretty terrible, toss up as to which match was worse, IMO.
-
I know that performance against City was terrible, but I think that the mid-week match had a huge toll. It was the toughest test of the group and we were brilliant. They worked their socks off in that match. Then, they returned on Thursday morning and match Saturday. We had our moments early, but after Morata went off, I figure Conte would be happy with a point, and maybe try to steal all 3 on the counter with Willian and Hazard. Didn't work, obviously. I thought that this was a pretty good analysis of the match:
-
One positive of this match is that Christiansen has been very good. These are the best opponents I've seen him against and he's possibly been our best player.
-
City are also doing their best to spoil any counter attack opportunities. Come in hard and foul if you get beat.
-
Mendy said that he only moved because he wanted to work under Pep. It it was us, he wouldn't have come. I don't know if it's just paper talk, but I'm not sure that Mendy was an option.
-
I loved how strong he was on the ball tonight. Hope the media can point out other things that will "stop him from being effective in England" so he can fix those things in the next few weeks too.

I much preferred when Cesc was the deepest lying of the 3 CMs. Having Bakayoko there negated his ability to charge through midfield with the ball and it left Cesc a bit exposed defending in the wider areas. Also, having Cesc as the deepest allowed him a little more time on the ball to spray passes around.
