  1. Jesus Bakayoko. "nice job winning the ball, Kante" "i'm going to fuck up this 5 yard pass, see if you can do it again"
  2. Agreed. He's looking poor because he has to try to do everything himself.
  3. And Okazaki dropping deep to put pressure on Kante.
  4. Our midfield 3 being bossed by their 2. What do we do? Bring on another midfielder? FFS, this is poor. Just hoping to nick a result at home.
  5. 0 intensity with the closing down or the passing. Bakayoko and Morata look off the pace again. Moses with the usual stupid decisions.
  6. Wouldn't mind seeing a goal. Anyone else remember those? Good fun, if I recall.
  7. I never really believed the Conte to leave rumours that have been going around for the past year and a half (basically since the Arsenal match last season). But, I believe them now. I think he's gone in the summer. I understand that he wants a team that going to spend some money to challenge for the title, which we are not doing these days. But, I'm wondering what kind of conversation was had before he took the job. Surely these things were discussed and it's not like this new stadium has come out of the blue.
  8. Tuchel did a really good job at Dortmund, but they parted company because he fell out with the board. I'm not sure he'd work here.
  9. I thought Arsenal defended well today. We outnumbered them in midfield and still had to try to bypass from defence to the frontline too often. Cesc's passing was mediocre today. In our 352, it's obvious that we need a real box to box threat in midfield or it's just Hazard and Morata vs 4 or 5.
  10. For the Lemar/Malcom depate that was kind of going on. Couldn't find a Malcom thread, so I'll post this article here if anyone is interested: https://statsbomb.com/2018/01/how-good-is-malcom/
  11. So, win-win, then? We keep Kante and only have to hear from Jose every few years when we play PSG in the CL. Sounds good to me.
  12. Was brilliant yesterday. Hopefully we can stop this narrative that it would be very easy to replace him. I don't know if he's going to stay long term, I get why he thinks about Madrid. But, it would be a massive loss for us.
  13. GET IN!!! Way to turn off Mustafi, thanks very much!
  14. That pen was so soft, sorry. I'll take it. I thought Morata was second best for the ball and did a great job to get the position. But, FFS, that finishing.
  15. Transfer window has been open for 2.5 hours now. Stupid board need to pull their finger out. Just kidding. Happy New Year to you guys in Europe, Africa, and Asia. The Americas to come. Hope everyone has a great 2018.
  16. So not worth getting up early for that. Don't even know if I can get mad at any of the players (except maybe Zappacosta who was horrendous). 9 players parked inside the box. If Jagielka doesn't clear 2 balls off the line in the first half, we could have maybe had an easy win. Hate playing against Allardici teams.
  17. I've got a bad feeling about this one. I'd be delighted with 3 points.
  18. Enjoy your trip to London. If you happen to make it to the Stamford Bridge area, there's a pub in Parsons Green called the White Horse which I highly recommend.
  19. Really don't want him to go. I know that CB is actually one of the positions we have any depth at, but we only have 2 with the ball skills and passing range to play in the middle of the back 3. I'm also not really holding out any hope for Zouma. I think he would be good as a defender in a deep backline because he's so solid, but I have doubts about his ability on the ball. I think he's worse on the ball than Cahill and we see how much stick he gets. I'm always one for keeping good personalities and likeable characters around.
  20. 2 now. Let's get keep it this (at least) and get Hazard off early.
  21. I'm happy to know that Liverpool supporters are irate about the result, but I have no love for these types of interviews from Sky (or whoever). They try to stir up some shit then act all innocent when confronted in return. They are actively trying to goad some sort of talking point for their next headline. Wish more managers would respond like Klopp.
