worth every penny. Wolfsburg have signed a great player! Wish him well.
-
Happy that he scored but there were chances where he could have done much better. Had those chances been taken,we may have won by a bigger margin.
-
this should be in the Joke thread. lol
-
haha hope that record does not convince him to join United now.

Honestly if we look past the hate for Barcelona,Xavi is kind of right when he talks about the legacy and how RDM won us the Champions League. We did not play the proper game of football and Jose does favour results over performances at times. Pep's contribution to the game of football has been quite immense. The tiki taka style may get boring at sometimes because of the amount of possession they keep on having but there are some moments of brilliance on the pitch because of that approach and for the neutral point of view, its quite exciting to watch. We can't simply hate or deny that just because we are one of their greatest European rivals. In truth he really hasn't left a legacy but I believe his time at Chelsea will be much different because of the number of years he intends on staying here. So,eventually there will be a kind of of style which others will admire because of the quality players we have. Although I do not understand why he wants to attack Chelsea now and especially Jose. All I know he's one stupid man for reigniting this pointless feud because Jose is going to eat him alive. Can not wait for his response.

why do you keep on insisting that we should send Mata to United? I honestly don't understand how that would be a win win situation for us if we get Rooney in return. Mata would significantly improve United and that is not what we want.Just because we plan on taking Rooney does not mean we have to give Mata so that both parties benefit. It'd be better to sell Mata to PSG for 35m+ and then use part of that money to sign Rooney.
-
Jose knows what he is doing so I trust him.
-
Jose did not loan him out to a club like Liverpool just for getting some match-time. Jokes apart,Liverpool are a massive club and knowing that Moses is a talented player, our manager helped him out and gaive him a shot at being part of the first team for a good club in England. If all goes well,Liverpool will make the deal permanent or if not some other English club will pay decent money for him. I really don't think he'll be playing for us again and its totally okay because it benefits both parties.
-
We of all clubs should really not care what other people think. Our owner has sacked managers like it was nothing and we've bought players for insane amounts(Torres) There is no reason why we should feel 'embarrassed" just because a young talent couldn't break into a star studded team. If anything we should learn from this mistake and put in a buy-back clause for some of the young talents we have.

300k is just absurd amount of wages. It does not matter if we're still playing high wages to a few players at the club, does not give us an excuse to pay 300k just because Eto'o gets 150k or if Essien is 100k. Trust me,I don't think Rooney would need an increment in wages to convince him to join us. The Jose factor and plus the fact that we'll be willing to offer him the 250k he's on will be enough to persuade him to leave.

I am sorry but I don't believe that cash+Mata for Rooney is a fair deal. Most of us are undervaluing Mata because he hasn't been exceptional under Jose's system this season but the past seasons have shown that Mata is one of the most lethal attacking players and would fit into any team where the defensive duties aren't heavily demanded. We just can not offer Mata to United also,he'd make them really strong and would be a great asset for them. Rooney is a fantastic player and would be a great addition but can't be desperate enough to offer cash + one of the best players in football today for him. If we sell Mata it has to be somewhere outside the premier league and if cash doesn't convince United to sell Rooney then the matter should end and we'll look for other alternatives. One thing is clear though,Rooney will make the effort to sign for us this time if United don't qualify for Champions league football(which is a possibility). If that does happen then 30m is more than enough for the 28 year old striker.

I don't think that Jose firmly believes that we can win the league this year. He's said quite a few times in the interviews about how strong Man City are(strikers department) and reminds everyone about the amount of experience in their side. Although it does not mean he won't try to challenge for it but seems to me that he has made clear that we should not expect the title or even feel bad later if we fail to win it. He keeps on saying that he's building for a squad which will dominate for the next man years so its understandable to see progress not hitting straight to success from the first year. Last time it worked for him because he had the chance to pick his own players and form his team. Now he just needs 2-3 players to complete his squad and then he'll be happy with and confident with our chances for any title. This season, it's better not to keep our expectations high. A top 3 finish, quarter final finish or above in the Champions League and FA cup would be a decent achievement this season.More could have been achieved if we had a proper striker.

The league this season is amazingly very competitive. We just can not underestimate any opponent anymore like we used to. Every big club has had a surprising loss so when this club goes through a rough phase, its important to understand the whole situation and not lose hope. Although yes it should not be used an excuse all the time because we are a club with extremely talented players and managerial staff. Its just sad that the lack of a class striker has forcibly restricted us and kept us in the same kind of boat with our title rivals. Just tells you that it'll only get better for us next season.

The only reason why Oscar gets picked over Mata is because of his exceptional defensive skills. Now Oscar is one skinny guy yet he makes the successful efforts in tackling and getting the ball from the oppositions. This is something really brilliant and should not be looked as a small ability. Oscar has full rights to play as a CAM this season because of his current form this season also last season he was most on the right side so he's gone through the phase of adapting. Mata is exceptional going forward but lacks the energy to defend and attack the same time. That affects Jose's unique style of attacking so he has no choice but to drop him. Maybe you are right. Mata should be sold in the summer and probably PSG maybe the best place. We'll get the amount he truly is worth of and Mata will continue to play with world class players and the Champions League. It is sad that Mata is being underused here but its also remarkable to know that we have an amazing player like Oscar.

Accept the striker situation and deal with it. There is no point constantly nagging about it as nothing will change till the end of the season.
-
His situation is like the one Ozil could have faced had he stayed at Madrid and competed with Isco. Instead of trying to prove himself he decided to move to a club which would value him as a starter. Also the relationship between him and the club became quite sour because of the Jose sacking. Anyways,Mata respects the club and us fans. The reaction after being subbed last game was in my opinion a very healthy and honest one. It showed his desire to play and the frustration was quite understandable because he had a decent first half but yet got subbed off 5 minutes after the interval. The problem is just that Willian and Oscar are better him at the moment and there is nothing he can do but wait. Players like Cole(who's been a great servant to the club), Andre,Kevin etc all have been treated the same so there is no personal rift between Jose and Mata. If Mata leaves then he'll definitely be a starter at his new club and will probably be bought for a huge amount because he is a real class player. I wouldn't mind if he did get sold because I would totally understand the whole reason behind the move. Mata is in his prime years and deserves to play every week for a top club. Its just a shame that he's competing with Oscar(one of the best CAM in world football today) for that sole spot.

I really enjoyed the game. We played some good football and created chances for our attackers to score.Sadly they could not convert but it was good to see that our approach remained the same for the whole game. The first half was quite worrying for some people here because we failed to capitalise and made few errors but honestly I was quite confident that we'd win this one. Willian and Oscar were terrific and Hazard's second half cameo helped the attacking players gel with each other and pick out some smart neat passes. Overall it was a fun match to watch and I am proud of the players and staff. I know the game was against a Championship side but still that should not stop us fans from praising the efforts and commitment of everyone who contributed to this win. The FA cup should be taken seriously as its a prestigious competition plus it also gives us the opportunity to see a bit of our youth talents.

It was never going to be easy for Moyes. He took over from one of the greatest managers in the game and inherited an average team. Blaming Moyes for United's downfall is quite unfair because they have been shit for few seasons now. Ferguson was the main reason why they had that kind of belief and attitude.
-
nah Kevin wants Champions league football next season so that's why he is willing to play for Wolfsburg. United won't be able to offer him that so its not going to happen. lol
-
He missed a few chances but his link up play was quite good. It wasn't a performance that we should be so critical of. He's a short term solution and will be gone by this summer so there is no reason to overreact and get so hyper. Our strikeforce is average and we must deal with it till the end of this season.
-
He would have been a great replacement for Bale. TOO BAD LOL!
-
The chances he and Eto'o got today just shows how lethal we'll become when we get Lukaku and a world class striker next season. If we had a clinical striker,we probably would have won this by a great margin and would have been top of the league with a comfortable goal difference. Oh well there is no point complaining about it now,we'll just have to wait for the start of next season and start battering teams then.
-
I'd keep him as our third choice striker for next season. Lukaku, some world class striker and Andre would be quite a lethal strike force. There are not many third choice strikers easily available and of our quality so it'll make sense to play Andre. Also since the role is quite minimal there is not much to expect unless there are injury issues.

great gesture from him after the game. Met some fans and interacted with them. Great player and a better human being.
