To be fair, that latter part is a bit harsh considering it's just a one-off at the moment. If he continues to use Kenedy at LB, then the point you're trying to make would certainly be more valid. And let's not also act as if Mourinho is the only one who does such thing. Even everyone's favorite Guardiola has a tendency to experiment and play players in unfamiliar positions. There isn't really much of a difference.

Maybe it's because Ivanovic is tall? Don't think it's hard anymore to figure out why Mourinho likes to play him in the starting XI.

You're kinda missing the point here. Those situations mentioned deserved criticism since they happened over an extended period of time. Think you have been here long enough to realize the inconsistency (if we can call it that) when it comes to the reaction of winning/losing games.

But there are always talking points from matches, regardless of whether we win or lose. It's just that when we lose, people tend to blow it out of proportion like it's the end of the world. But when we win, nothing much is said.

Willian is seriously inconsistent with his set pieces. How can he be so lethal in shooting directly at goal from a free kick but can't even deliver a decent into the box for someone else to attack? Some of his corners yesterday failed to beat even the first man!

A potential banana skin game this especially when you consider we have screwed up a few matches like this in the past - Cluj, Genk, Maribor etc. Need to build on the win against Norwich and get some momentum going before facing Spurs next weekend. And we don't need any silly drama in the final group game against Porto! A win here will see us qualify for the last 16 if Dynamo Kiev fail to win at Porto. A point will also be enough if Dynamo Kiev lose to Porto.

It's not just the family though. Would Hazard want to deal with all those silly pressure and political conflict at Madrid? Joining them might be a fanciful thing but the minute you don't play well - even if you have contributed a lot in the past - you will get booed and even abused by the fans. Says a lot when even Ronaldo got whistled by the crowd in the El Clasico today. Does he want to play in that kind of environment?

I know Costa's confidence isn't exactly high but his movement inside the penalty box has been absolutely shocking of late. And it says a lot when the manager had to do this...

Guess I was day dreaming earlier as it took me until mid-way through to 2nd half to realize it was Kenedy and not Baba Rahman who was playing at left back. Thought he did well in that position - both offensively and defensively. Just a surprise that Norwich didn't try to target him more in the game.
