@Tomo, I imagine you're looking forward to this.

Unimpressive performance. Decent win. Take and run.

We're doing our best to rival Van Gaal's United as the most boring team to watch...

Does Hiddink remember or even know that we have 2 league games in the next 6 days?! We get a chance to rotate today but he went with a full strength starting XI. If we drop points in those 2 upcoming games because of tiredness, fatigue etc, then Hiddink has a lot to answer for!
-
No. He's worse. At least Jose wasn't afraid to play Kenedy and Loftus-Cheek against Walsall and that was an AWAY match!
-
I'm sorry but that's a shambolic line-up from Hiddink. Not even ONE youth player in the starting XI?! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!!
-
You looked at his overall form and performances. Fine. But any good reason to dismiss him because of 1 sudden bad season? We don't even know what's going on there and heck, we don't even know what happened to the entire team, never mind Hazard. If we are going to sell players due to a sudden drop in form or inconsistency over the course of a few seasons, then there are others who should be sold first especially when some of them have contributed even less. Do you have proof that he wasn't actually injured against Leicester and Palace? Both times he tried to carry on after picking up the injuries and both times he couldn't. If he had continued on and suffered a more serious injury, then we would be slamming him for not taking good care of himself or worse, blame the physios for not overruling him! It's not like he immediately withdrew himself the minute he got tackled. And if he really doesn't fancy it, then I doubt he would have played at United. He probably wasn't 100% fit then given he just only returned from injury but he played the full 90 minutes, he was one of the few players who was trying to make things happen (especially in the first half) and all this despite getting kicked to the ground non-stop by United.

Player's form drop/Player doesn't play well - Dismiss him without any solid reason - Want the club to sell him - Club sell him - Player performs well at other club - Moan about decision of selling him in Ex-Blues section. Rinse and Repeat.

I don't see how Azpi is overrated by the fans to be honest. A full back's job, first and foremost, is to defend and Azpi does that extremely well. Rarely you see him get beaten in 1-v-1 situations, get caught out of position etc. He always does his job in unassuming fashion and the fact that most of the goals we conceded come from our right side and oppositions targeting our right side is a testament to his defensive work at left back (and this when he's playing behind the supposedly not-so-hard-working Hazard). And to judge his offensive qualities when he's playing at left back and doesn't get much chance to attack isn't very fair. That goes without saying, doesn't it? Most - if not all - of us would have preferred to see a left back playing in the left back position and Azpi playing in the right back spot.

Toure is such a big whiner, forever slacking off and moaning when things don't go his way. He complained about how he didn't win the award when he helped Ivory Coast to win the AFCON? Well, we didn't see him complain when he won the last 4 Africa POTY awards despite Ivory Coast failing to win the AFCON during that time! What a hypocrite!
-
Not sure how one can say Azpi is a liability offensively when he hasn't got much chance to get forward and has been playing out of position. If you're going to use that term 'liability offensively' to describe someone, then it should be Ivanovic, who is doing a lot worse than Azpi - who of course is a right back playing at left back. Ivanovic gets the license to bomb forward and always, ALWAYS, gives the ball back to the opposition 95% of the time with his brainless crosses!

People need to understand that it's much harder to do business in January. All the top players aren't available and with the situation we're in now along with the uncertain future - e.g. who will be our next manager - it's arguably even much harder to attract players. And besides, some of our recent January transfers have been nothing but disasters - Torres, Cuadrado, Salah etc.

But was it even as bad as the media made it out to be? It's not like this kind of thing hasn't happened before and it's not like someone got killed!

Pretty sure Hiddink would make some changes. Would be surprised if he didn't. We have West Brom to come next Wednesday and then Everton on Saturday. No way he will play the same team for 3 matches in 7 days.
