  1. Mikel and Matic in the pivot. Fabregas in the No.10. Pedro and Willian - the workhorses - out wide. No Hazard. I'll probably be eating my words later but uninspiring lineup from Hiddink.

  4. Not saying De Gea is bad but he has a tendency to make easy saves look extremely hard and dramatic.
  5. Not exactly. He wore the mask prominently in the 90s and early 00s but since about 7-8 years ago (or something like that), he's ditched the mask. Only at times he wore, depending on his storyline.
  6. So, it comes down to this. BRING. IT. ON.
  7. Win Premier League Win Champions League Win FA Cup Win League Cup
  8. A dead rubber doesn't excite me, even with the rivalry on. If Leicester can't win the title this coming weekend, they'll do it against Everton. As for the Champions League fight, I want to see United ramp up the pressure on City and Arsenal, especially when those two play each other in the penultimate game. Would be hilarious if Arsenal or even City finish outside the top four.
  9. I want the game to have something riding on it. Makes it more fun. Spurs won't win the title anyway and if we are the one to officially end it, even better!
  10. Desperately hoping Leicester don't win at Old Trafford this weekend!
  11. Oh dear. Mark Clattenburg will be the referee...
  12. 1. Hiddink's team selection was annoying to say the least. On one hand, I get that we were on a poor run and he needed the best team out there possible to get us back on track but on the other hand, if this is not the game to field 2-3 youngsters, then when are we going to do that? I doubt we'll do it against Spurs, Liverpool or Leicester. Playing them against Sunderland is probably the only real possibility at this point. 2. Fielding Mikel at centre back is the banter of the highest order. Talk about taking the piss when we had Miazga available. Admittedly, he did have a poor game at Swansea but if he isn't given the chance to redeem himself, to prove that he is better than what he showed at Swansea, then how we can judge him whether he's actually good or not? If this is the approach that we're taking with the youngsters moving forward, never mind Miazga, then I fear for those lot. 3. It's quite telling that 4 of our last 5 league wins have come against sides sitting in the bottom 8, with 3 of them in the bottom 4. In fact, since Mourinho got sacked/Hiddink took over, we've only beaten two teams currently sitting in the top 10 - Arsenal and Southampton. Palace were in 7th when we beat them but that's about it.

  15. Yes, they weren't inconsistent when Klopp took over but in recent weeks, they appear to have found their groove under him. They've lost only once in 8-9 games or something, and that was the capitulation at Southampton. Take that second half out of the equation, they have been good/great.
  16. No elite finisher? Origi is doing well. Sturridge is back and firing. Granted they aren't world class but Liverpool's style of play is likely to overwhelm us, our defence will crack and they'll score a few goals from it. It'll be like watching that 4-1 defeat from 11/12 season all over again.
  17. And we still gotta go to Anfield. My god. I'm expecting a few more thrashings before the season ends!
  18. Spurs are going to get their first win at the Bridge next month, aren't they? Can already sense it.
  19. Surprised to see this thread being so quiet after the debacle yesterday. That tackle that led to City's penalty was just...something else. Utterly idiotic move.
  20. Just when I thought the season couldn't get any worse, it actually did get worse. Absolutely farcical of a performance, to say the very least. It felt like I was watching Chelsea vs Arsenal at times with us being Arsenal and City being Chelsea. We tried to play some pretty football and then gave away stupid goals on the counter. No tactical discipline. No commitment. No desire. Pathetic excuse for a bunch of football players! On another note, called it...
  21. Key part - "At the moment..."
  22. Since it's City, I'm guessing Hiddink won't be playing the kids and will be going with a full strength XI.
