Think Tomo pretty much nailed what I want to reply here but heck, I'll just say it anyway. That's the thing with Mourinho. Before Real Madrid, he was on top of the world in everything - or almost - he does but since then, he's been slowly slipping down the hill in management. And how many players in recent years have come out to speak fondly about their relationship with Mourinho? He's probably caused more controversies in the last 5-6 years than the 5-6 years prior to that. The point with Mourinho rubbing people the wrong way is that he always needs to provoke people to get a reaction out of people and it's as though he doesn't know any other way. That approach will work for 1-2 seasons and as we have seen, it will then wear off and people - players, fans, the club - around will start to get tired of all his antics, controversies, comments etc.

Even as a rotation player, I'm still leaning towards a NO for this. You would want someone better than him or otherwise, it'll end up in the same situation like last season where we all moaned about the crap options in Remy, Falcao and Pato. Calling him a proven scorer, even as a rotation player, is stretching it considering he's only got 30 PL goals in 81 appearances and he went through some pretty dry, bad spells at Southampton. And considering how jammy Costa's hamstring is, Pelle might end up starting a lot more games than we think right now.

Conte wants Pelle? Not that surprising but leaning towards a NO-NO here. Think the reason for that is obvious but on the other hand, you would think that having worked with Conte and grasped the way he works, Pelle would be a good signing. But still not liking the idea of this.

I'm not so sure TBH. Problem with Mourinho is that he always provoke others to get a reaction out of them (it's like the only way he knows) and that can cause controversy. With Conte, he inspires a reaction out of others - just like we've seen with Italy and Juventus. There's a difference between provoking and inspiring. Yes, they are both no doubt intense and relentless in their pursuit to win things but one person here rubs people up the wrong way, the other doesn't.

Search the first part of that quote - "Gareth Bale is a special player, I am not a special player..." - on Google and there is only one page of result and there's not one reliable source shown. So either BBC Wales created their own quote to hype up Bale (what a shocker!) or they blindly quoted from some trolling site.
