  1. Was telling my dad 'I hope Fabregas scores' when he came on and moments later, he scored. Thanks #AgentCech!
  2. 4 points from Liverpool (a) and Arsenal (h). Not too shabby. Good performance. Could have conceded more but could have easily scored more. Just utterly annoyed we conceded that late goal and Costa's selfishness all game!
  3. Is it just me or he hasn't been quite the same since the CSL interest fiasco? We may have won today but he was absolutely selfish! Could have played in Pedro in the first half to go 2-0 up and then later tried to score from a tight angle when there were like 3-4 players free in the box to make it 4-0. This all from the same guy who went all crazy on Pedro for not making that attacking run at Spurs last month.
  4. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4182128/Bamford-answers-critics-rejoining-Middlesbrough.html If true, Dyche needs to be condemned for that!
  5. Could you please just post that in the match thread? There's no need to spam the forum with threads on such matters!
  6. As funny as Mourinho's outbursts can be, they are getting really old. While he did make a good point regarding Klopp last night, it's really baffling that he can never take a bad result with grace. For one reason or another, he always has to throw tantrums in interviews and presser. He's utterly driven by paranoia and obsessed with the need to create drama.
  7. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/eden-hazard-and-david-luiz-playing-through-pain-as-minor-injuries-threaten-chelseas-premier-league-a3456361.html Oh dear.
  8. There should be a summer spending spree regardless of whether we win the title or not. This highly flawed squad needs to be tweaked in the summer!
  9. Don't get this talk or hype that United are playing great attacking football under Mourinho. All they ever seem to do is put crosses into the box and hope Ibrahimovic scores or something else to fall their way. Dull and unimaginative.
  10. Out of the other 5, think I'm still more concerned about City than anyone else. I know West Ham were trash but Guardiola dropping Bravo and Aguero was a big call and if they can get their act together, they'll be quite dangerous in the run-in.
  11. Until we become a technical based side that will dominate matches and filled with players comfortable on the ball, there's no point signing someone like Aubameyang. We'll have to sign someone like Drogba, Costa etc if we continue the current state.
  12. I don't question Conte's winning mentality. It's the reason why he was so successful with Juventus and Italy. In fact, I'm extremely pleased to have a manager with this mentality and it's arguably the main reason why we are where we are now. I just question his inability, might be the wrong way of putting it but I think you get the point, to perhaps tweak the formation to give us more control of matches and not coming under heavy pressure, like I explained to Henrique (see below). I'm just concerned this will come back to bite us in a key moment/important game in the run-in.
  13. Maybe. Wasn't the worst penalty but could have at least hit it higher so that even if the keeper did go the right way, he would have less chance of saving it.
  14. Don't want to jinx it but this highlights the job that Conte's doing...
  15. 1. Scroll down to the bottom of the forum 2. Click 'Theme' and select 'Default' (bottom left) 3. Click on your avatar at the top right and select 'Account Settings' 4. Select 'Country' on the left side menu and make your change 5. Just repeat Step 1 and 2 to change back to the TalkChelsea theme
  16. Funny thing is even Hazard himself has missed penalties before and I remember when it first happened for us, there was an outrage over it. Maybe Hazard's more likely to convert it had he been on the pitch but there was no guarantee that would have happened.
  17. 3-4-3 or 3-6-1, it doesn't matter. The point is we only have 2 midfielders in there and I wasn't only talking about the game yesterday or the one at Spurs. It's the recent games - Hull, Stoke, Brentford etc. Sure, we may have won those games but we struggled to control those games and could have easily not won had the opposing teams have more quality. And sorry, I didn't know I have to ask your permission on how or what I want to convey in my posts, Mr Not-So-Weird.
  18. Another team that dominates midfield and plays the passing game. It won't happen but Conte seriously needs to go 3-5-2 here.
  19. It's definitely an area that needs to be fixed. Azpi is indispensable in this team and unless we look to move to RWB, we definitely need to search for a Moses replacement.
  20. I know the 3-4-3 has gotten us results over the last few months but can't quite understand Conte's reluctance to switch to 3-5-2 in the big games. We have seen the side getting overrun and coming under huge pressure in matches and he's always brought on Fabregas and every time, we've seen him help us control the games better and even start to create some really good opportunities. So I don't get why Conte doesn't go with that from the start? There's no point playing 3 upfront if the guys behind them can't keep possession and create any chances. On a slightly more positive note, this squad has so many flaws and it needs some serious operation if we are to challenge big time again in Europe, never mind the Premier League. But somehow despite the flaws, Conte has managed to build a strong unit to challenge for the title and sit 9 points clear after 23 games. IF we do end up winning the league, we should consider building a statue of him outside the Bridge.
