  1. He's on a fucking mission, isn't he?
  2. Moses is not perfect but I think to say he hasn't improved under Conte is being ignorant. It takes more than just having pace and stamina to play in the wing back role. You still need to have a decent tactical intelligence, ability on the ball and workrate to make the position work. Do you think Conte would have played him if he didn't have those qualities? Can we get someone better to play in that RWB role? Yes. But Moses deserves credit how he has performed this season.
  3. How is it the same? In one case, you have two players with proven track record. In the other one, the player doesn't have that. Conte has done wonders with this squad but let's not treat as if he'll turn every player into some world class player.
  4. Still no. And the comparison with Hazard and Costa is just plain silly. Yes, they were bad last season but at least they had good seasons before that and we know they can perform at the highest level. There's still a huge question mark over that on Mahrez, whose last season's form looks nothing more than anomaly at this point. He's not even done anything good this season to suggest otherwise.
  5. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/arsenal-news-arsene-wenger-hector-bellerin-injury-marcos-alonso-chelsea-a7570851.html He's still moaning about it
  6. He's bitter. He's bitter that Conte is doing 10x better than him with practically the same squad. He's bitter that we're challenging for the title while he's having to watch from distance in 6th. Considering that he's not sitting in a position of power (e.g like top of the Premier League), it's utterly embarrassing that he has the audacity to be taking pot shots at other managers and teams and this coming from a manager who is managing arguably the biggest club in the world. He's been moaning and bitching so much over the years that people don't seem to be taking what he says seriously anymore, especially when he's not winning major trophies to go with his trash talking.
  7. That shitty music was so not needed.
  8. Don't think this has been mentioned but should we be concerned that the last 4 goals we've conceded have all come from crosses? Alli at WHL, Wijnaldum at Anfield and Giroud last weekend. Liverpool certainly tried to exploit that down our right and we could have easily conceded 2 more against Arsenal - that Gabriel and Welbeck chances.
  9. He certainly did that and IIRC, I acknowledged that at the time as well but I guess if we look at it from another perspective, one could say he wasn't adaptable enough to find a slightly different way of playing and instead, retreated to his own shell and have us play on the defensive. But the problem with that is, it takes only one silly mistake and the opposition will get back into the game, like the one at Liverpool for instance.
  10. Maybe not entirely but pretty sure he meant to take a swipe at us. This is Mourinho after all and he's been doing that all season. If you look further at what he said, he went on to brag about playing attacking football, playing the right way because that's how their fans and club want etc, almost as if teams playing other way shouldn't be acknowledged at all.
  11. Where did I imply it has anything to do with running away with the title? I was alluding more to how we play in matches or manage moments in matches. Take the second half against Hull recently for instance. Not saying we should have rolled them over but we should have played better, controlled the game better. On another day, we could have easily paid the price for the poor way we played in that half. Or in another case, Liverpool away last week, where we couldn't even control and make simple passes and ended up getting pressurized for long periods of that game. If you really want to talk about running away with the title, the last one was a slugfest. We may have won the title by 8 points but part of that was down to the others being so rubbish that they couldn't keep pace with us and while we got the job done then, some of our performances were crap in that run-in when we should have played better (game at QPR in particular sticks out a lot!). Now, I highly doubt complacency will be an issue under Conte in this run-in and beyond but I'm not ruling us out of having some brainfart moments or matches in the remaining fixtures and if we do that, there are at least 2 other teams capable of closing the gap on us.
  12. http://www.espnfc.com/manchester-united/story/3054796/manchester-uniteds-jose-mourinho-takes-swipe-at-defensive-art He just can't let it go, can he?
  13. Honestly, you gotta applaud Mourinho's ability to make every game dull to watch, even when winning easily and playing against lesser sides.
  14. You are right but his comments about Marco Silva after he was appointed were disgraceful and xenophobic.
  15. Desperate for Hull to survive, if only to see Merson and co. with eggs on their faces!
  16. But now that they only have the league to focus on, you would think their form will pick up again.
  17. He doesn't get enough credit for the saves he makes. If it was De Gea...
  18. Tense? Only pointing out that Burnley can pose a huge problem. But for the sake of the argument, think there's every reason for me to be tense or cautious because (a) we have won nothing yet and (b) we have a tendency to make life difficult for ourselves. I enjoy it when we win and play well but there's still a long way to go.
  19. As LAB alluded to above, Burnley have the THIRD best home record in the league this season. Won't be easy at all. On top of that, their record against the top 6 isn't all that great but barring 2 games, all the others have been pretty close. W 2-0 Liverpool L 0-3 Chelsea L 0-1 Arsenal D 0-0 Man United L 1-2 Man City L 1-2 Tottenham L 1-2 Man City L 1-2 Arsenal
