And I don't think it helps that he's been busy golfing with Terry on weekends in Portugal this season (according to people follow them on Instagram).

Wonder whether Conte or someone in that dressing room (e.g. Terry) has spoken with Costa over his recent form? Surely someone has to get his head straight for the run-in? We can't keep on playing with '10 men' on the pitch whenever he's in the starting XI. We not only need his goals but we also need performances from him, like the ones in the first half of the season, when he was almost unplayable.

Based on recent form, Spurs should win this comfortably but that aside, I don't even know what to feel going into this game. Our recent performances have been up and down, we can't keep clean sheets and we're struggling to score goals, all of which were laid bare against United. Conte's demeanor and defeatist comments after the game do not bode well either. I know I can be pessimistic but reading his comments about the performance and Spurs, it's almost as if he knows we're gonna lose everything that we've worked hard up till now. Not sure what exactly is going with the players but we really need to get it together for this and the title run-in. Lose this and the title will leave a bitter feeling far worst than last season.

United at Old Trafford was always going to be a tough game, even with their average form, and while I may accept the defeat, I just can't take the manner of the performance. It's one thing not to be playing well but it's another not to be showing any kind of hunger, desire, commitment to the cause. That performance against United was the one we saw against Liverpool and Arsenal back in September. It was the one we saw many times last season. It was spineless, listless, devoid of pride, devoid of fighting for the target. The fact that Cahill was more bothered about being Mr Nice Guy in the buildup for that second goal speaks volume of the mindset against United. We're so close to the title but do the players actually want to win it? Do they want to be remembered as title winners? Or do they want to be remembered as title failures, who had a 10-point lead with 8-9 games remaining? If the players throw away the title, they need to take a long hard look at themselves. If the worst happens, it'll leave a far worst taste, feeling and memory than last season.

After more than 5 hours, the anger has finally set in. Fucking fuming right now!
-
Can't imagine what impact it would have on us, psychologically, if we lost this. It really is a bad time to be hitting poor form and results!

If you think people want Costa gone because he's playing poorly or of his recent form, then clearly you haven't been following the Costa discussion much. If you go through the last couple of pages or read some of the post-match comments, you would see why people are calling for Costa to be sold. And for the record, I don't go pro-player X when he plays well and anti-player X when he doesn't play well, certainly not in the wrong way. I'll praise and criticize them when it's due.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/04/16/thibaut-courtois-suffered-ankle-injury-basketball-promotional/ Apparently it's the club's commercial duty with NBA but FFS!

Why was he even off to do an NBA commercial in the first place?!
-
Maybe you're right but if we throw the title away, after boasting a 10-point lead, it will be regarded as a massive failure.
-
We still have Southampton to come and should point out that we have beaten them only ONCE in our last 4 home games.
-
Thinking back at the first goal, it was almost a carbon copy of that Hernandez goal at Old Trafford in 2010/11 season. Rashford, just like Hernandez then, broke the offside trap to score and surprise surprise, Luiz fucked it up on both occasions.
-
No. It was under Avram Grant...
-
Sounds as though Conte's starting to raise that white flag...

He should be fined for busy picking Lingaard up in the build-up to the second goal and considering we were already struggling then, it's absolutely farcical to see that and that from the captain!
-
He's making Torres look decent all of a sudden.
-
And guess who's our manager then? Avram Grant.
-
Worst performance of the season. Never turned up. And that's saying something after that horror show at Arsenal. It's a fucking 2015/16 performance!
-
We're definitely losing now...
