  1. Dodgy team selection is one thing but is anyone questioning Conte on why we were so poor against Arsenal again? Out of the 5 games under him, only 1 is acceptable. We went AWOL in the rest. What did he say to them before the game? Did he even say anything? No way that XI out there should have been so bad today.
  2. If Morata thinks the treatment he's been getting is bad, wait till Stoke next weekend. He really needs to toughen up physically. Gets brushed aside far, far too easily!
  3. A desperate Luiz is a ticking time bomb. You'll either see him do something incredible or something stupid. Unfortunately, we saw the latter today. Not even sure what was he doing taking the ball so far down the line when we know he's going to lump it forward for Morata or whoever to chase it down.
  4. Conte likes his defenders to be able to play out from the back and yet, he continues to select Cahill. Why? He's by far our weakest defender when it comes to playing with the ball and he doesn't even use his left foot! And I don't even see what we will miss defensively when he's not in the XI. Looked solid and arguably even better against Spurs, Everton and Leicester without him.
  5. 1. That was tragic. Definitely two points dropped. 2. Another game under Conte against Arsenal where we didn't turn up. What on earth does Conte say to them before these games? 3. I know we're at home but how many games do Conte need to watch to realize that Fabregas doesn't work in a 2-man midfield against top 6 opposition? If you're gonna play him, play in a 3 or don't play at all. And playing only 2 men in midfield against Arsenal is suicidal when you know they like to overload the area. 4. If we're going to play this way after a Champions League game, I dread to think what will happen in 2 weeks' time when we have Atletico and Man City. Not to mention, there's Stoke before that. Basically no room for rotation at all.
  6. Conte, once again, getting out-tacticed by Wenger...
  7. A very good interview this. Articulate, mature, intelligent and a tad witty too. Well worth a read. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4888148/Alvaro-Morata-Cristiano-Ronaldo-Antonio-Conte.html
  8. He's contracted till 2020. Don't see any cause for concern yet.
  9. Your guess is as good as mine. Remember the Lukaku saga? Went after him but didn't match the offer offered by United.
  10. If Llorente is made clear that he's the 3rd choice, would Batshuayi be unwilling to stay? Yes but in this very particular point, you suggested having 3 strikers won't work. Hence why I gave the example.
  11. What has that gotta do with our academy?
  12. But thanks to that shitty luck, Spurs might just end up qualifying from the group ahead of Dortmund. On the other hand, Dortmund did an Arsenal. Threatening going forward but completely left themselves exposed defensively with their FBs being so high up the pitch. Got countered rather easily and it's a surprise Spurs didn't score more goals.
  13. And having 2 STs with huge difference in quality works? After 1-2 seasons, we'll end up looking at getting replacement for the No.2 striker, which we might if Batshuayi continues to perform at this poor rate. Maybe, maybe not. In 2014/15 for instance, we had Costa, Remy and Drogba and that worked out fine, no? So, I don't see why we would loan out Batshuayi had we gotten Llorente. Think the latter, given his age, was more than happy to be playing the role Drogba did back then.
  14. Yeah, we nurtured him...by sending him straight out on loan to Atletico.
  15. Morata left Real Madrid because Zidane never gave him a consistent run in the starting XI despite his impressive goal scoring record. Different case from having 2 strikers of high quality. Don't see what's wrong with having 2 top strikers in the team, even if we play mainly with one. That will create competition between the two, there won't be a drop of quality if you play one and not the other and the manager will even have the option to play both together if needed. Why did you think we went after Llorente in the transfer window?
  16. That. He's more similar to Alonso than he is to Moses and I'm not sure if that's a good thing because in some situations, you're gonna need your WBs to beat their man going forward in 1 v 1 to create chances and I'm not sure if Zappacosta is capable of that.
  17. Does the price really matter? We were clearly after him but one reason or another, we didn't him. This. And Mayoral in the picture now when you didn't even mention him earlier? In any case, couldn't care less if other clubs have few/many strikers or if they all have faults. I'm only concerned about ours and ours is concerning because one is becoming so bad that we have to rely on the other pretty much the whole time.
  18. Frustrating thing about Hazard is one can never be sure about his future. One minute, he's saying things like he'll stay at the club and the next, he's talking about Real Madrid or addressing transfer rumours.
