  1. He's 26 years old this year. If he had a future with us, we would have kept him and not desperately trying to offer him to every possible club yesterday. And if we wanted to keep him, we would have done so after his decent loan spell at Dortmund.
  2. Just need to score winners against United, Arsenal and Spurs.
  3. It's hard to care for a player who constantly talks about moving to another club in those 7 years...
  4. Hilarious how people are suddenly absolving Mourinho and Conte from those problems.
  5. He plays only to have fun and doesn't care about manager's criticism. Those recent comments sum him up really. He only turns it on when he is in the mood (that mood wavers a lot) and how can he, who I assume has at least some professional pride, not feel hurt when his own manager criticize? How can he not have the urge to prove him wrong? The fact that Hazard just brushed it off like it's nothing says a lot about his mentality.
  6. Isn't that Sarri's job to coach the players to make the right movements, to keep passing forward? Isn't it his job to select the right players to do what he wants? Why not play Loftus-Cheek and Pedro who will offer more goal threat? Why keep on playing players who like to be on the ball so much - Hazard, Willian, Kovacic? It's a fucking joke that Kante is our joint-third highest goalscorer in the league and has the same number of goals as Willian, Loftus-Cheek, Barkley and more than Kovacic!
  7. This might sound harsh but feels like Hazard is the epitome of the problems at the club right now. Content to just stay at the same level and not bothered to improve.
  8. Sky Sports looking for profit and clicks on deadline day?
  9. Then what has he been doing for these 6-7 months? It's Sarri's job to coach the players, to make them work in a proper setup but he's failing on that front. First, he blames the players' mentality when we lose a game and now it's because we haven't learned his football.
  10. I know it's easy to remember the likes of Terry, Lampard, Ivanovic, Drogba etc as heroes because of the success we have had but it's really worth remembering that we had shockers with those same lot as well. Remember 2010/11? 2011/12 (under AVB)? 2015/16? Even 2008/09 (to an extent)? So, it's not only the current lot who can't get motivated or do not have the right mentality.
  11. Chelsea 5-0 Huddersfield PRE/POST-MATCH DISCUSSION, LIVE CHAT AND ANALYSIS 2018/19 Premier League Match 25 2 February, Saturday 2019 Stamford Bridge 15:00 Kick Off (UK time)
  12. So when it happened, we blamed Mourinho and Conte for causing chaos and now it's all the players' fault? You said the players don't have the right mentality..fine but shouldn't it be the manager's job to forge the team to match his own mentality? Sarri's job isn't just make us play better football (HA HA) but also make us more consistent and right now, he's failing to offer any kind of glimpses to suggest he will make it work long term. I know it's easy to say this now but that unbeaten run earlier in the season papered over the cracks. We saw the same of kind of turgid football that we're seeing now and only difference is we had players coming up with moments of individual brilliance. But since teams started to suss us out, we have been even more clueless than before and Sarri has offered no solutions to solve those issues. No Plan B, no tactical changes, no nothing.
  13. I know we're not entitled to be in the Top 4 but just look at some of the stupid draws/losses we've had - West Ham, Everton, Leicester, Wolves, Southampton, Bournemouth. We might not have the best squad but no way we should be dropping points to some of the worst sides in the league and certainly not get thrashed 4-0 by a mid-table side!
  14. Yeah but who was the one who delivered the HT team talk? Who was the one who set them up to play that way? There were already warning signs in the first half from Bournemouth's counter attacks and yet, there was barely any tactical change at HT and we played into their hands. The players should have reacted better, I'll give you that, but after conceding the first and second, did Sarri try to change anything tactically? Nope. Just made like-for-like changes that we all could have easily predicted and just kept playing the same way. Sure, you can blame the players' poor mentality but if the same shit keeps on happening, then it's more than just the players, is it? Shouldn't we then question Sarri on whether he is getting his message across properly? This is his team and he should be doing his bit to toughen the team's mentality.
  15. Our post-January slumps? In 2014/15, we won 10 of the last 15 league games after January and in 2016/17, we won 12 of our last 15 games (Spurs won 13 of their last 15). How do they constitute slump? I'll give you for the 2014/15 title but in 2016/17, Terry barely even played. Also, if you're gonna start finding excuses for our league titles, saying we only won because of this and that, then you might as well do it for the ones won in 04/05 and 05/06 as well.
  16. So suddenly, we are just gonna ignore the fact that Mourinho and Conte dragged us down with their negative-fest throughout those two seasons? Only 5-6 players in the current squad played under Mourinho. So is it totally related though? Is it really possible for those 5-6 players to drag the entire team down? Then under Conte, we were sitting nicely in 2nd last January and looking set for the top 4 but he embarked on his moan-fest and took us down to 5th. So, was it really all the players' fault though?
  17. You don't win leagues and be better than everyone else over 38 games if you don't have the right mentality. People keep on saying we won those leagues easily because there were no challengers etc. How about I turn that around and say we won those leagues because the others weren't good and consistent enough to keep up with us over 38 games? No. What we need is a manager who is adaptable and flexible (and for the love of god, please do not confuse this with asking Sarri to ditch his style!). Sarri may have the right idea but he's going about it the wrong way to execute that idea.
  18. People can change if they want to or recognize that they need to. Only have to look at someone like Alex Ferguson, who kept on adapting year in year out. And what would be the point of changing the squad selection? Sarri has tried doing that and we still see the same debacle like tonight.
  19. The players aren't faultless but the manager is making things worse and is one of the major issues.
  20. Okay, the players do not have strong mentality but shouldn't that then be the manager's job to toughen them up? We've seen from these lot that they can be tough mentally but is Sarri getting enough out of them consistently? The players should be mentally strong but it's also the manager's job to form the players to match his own mentality.
  21. THAT! It's always 4-3-3 and like-for-like players. Everyone could predict Sarri's subs before the game and if teams stop Jorginho, they stop the entire team. All that's happening and Sarri doesn't even seem bothered to try and change things. Instead, he just keeps on rolling out the same shit every game. What's that thing about insanity again?
