  1. Yup he did. Martinez also did it at Wigan. But don't think anyone really took notice of that because they didn't have any success to go with the system. True but I think Conte proving the system can be successful in the Premier League was what made it popular again.
  2. Except am not sure that's the price tag Marina has put on him. And it's still more money anyway and at a time when clubs are trying to save money on transfers.
  3. If Conte hadn't played the back 3 with us and been successful with it, I doubt other managers and teams would have played a system that was out of fashion.
  4. Err, is it a good thing if the value goes up for an unwanted player? That would just mean less clubs can afford in signing him.
  5. Agreed but am sure you know that it was easy to sell Moses because of the low fee and wages. Different case with some of the others.
  6. By "only", I wasn't complaining or anything. Just merely highlighting the low fee. You're very speculative, aren't you? 🤣
  7. I suspect Gallagher will go on loan again. Tuchel reportedly wants a midfielder signing.
  8. Well, either we get a RWB then or an out-and-out CB. If we sell Zouma, we'll have only 3 out-and-out CBs in Rudiger, Christensen and Silva and I'm not sure Silva's fitness, especially, will hold up for an entire season. If one of them gets injured, then James or Azpi will be moved to the middle three, then leaving the other one for the RWB slot with no backup. Of course, Tuchel could switch to a back 4 or CHO can be used as a RWB but god knows where he is now in Tuchel's mind.
  9. Wait, you don't rate Mourinho and Hiddink 1.0? 😮
  10. He could but at the same time, he also doesn't have the full power to force the move given he dumbly signed that long term contract in 2018 (or was it 2019?). Either way, too lazy to speculate long over this. Guess we'll only see how this plays out later this month or maybe even in August.
  11. If we sell Zouma, we will likely then have to get a replacement because that would leave us with just 3 out-and-out CBs and one of them is soon to be 37 years old while another 2 is like half-CB and half-RWB at the moment.
  12. Not sure if it's simple as that since Levy/Spurs have insisted Kane is not for sale at any price this summer. Different story next year. May also depend on whether Kane will really push for that move. I have my doubts about that.
  13. If Kane isn't going anywhere, then Spurs aren't going to get him. Arsenal still have Lacazette and Aubameyang on their books.
  14. The transfer fee is reportedly only around 4.5 million euros.
  15. But both are still inexperienced and unlike Gallagher, Gilmour at least already has some experience in playing for us. I don’t see the point of him filling in for Mount when we already so many options upfront to do so.
  16. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2021/07/02/victor-moses-completes-russian-transfer Moses to Spartak Moscow confirmed.
  17. Just read the article and it says at the moment, Villa have no intention to spend a club record fee on a striker for the third year running. If Villa aren’t going to buy him Abraham, then who will take him…?
  18. You mean the loaning out bit? Was trying to make the point that both are still relatively inexperienced at the highest level and it would be ironic if Tuchel uses Gallagher instead of Gilmour.
  19. It would be somewhat ironic if Tuchel uses Gallagher after deciding to loan Gilmour out. And also, Gallagher is not exactly a defensive midfielder, is he? We may need one to cover for Kante, whose injury record isn’t the cleanest in the last 1-2 years.
