  1. It's obvious that the reaction here would be different had we thrown away the 2 points. This world didn't exist from yesterday and so is TC. Also no, I'm not gonna cry after every mistake and I'm relieved we got the win but a mistake like today's was just plain silly and so avoidable.
  2. I know but sometimes you just gotta clear it. Read the situation and make the right judgment. Watford were hemming us in then, why risk losing the ball in such a dangerous position? Just freaking clear it! Had we been leading by 3-4 goals, I'd turn a blind eye on this. But it was only a 2-0 lead, away from home, with 10+ minutes remaining. Play it smart, don't be like Arsenal!
  3. No, I want the team to play smart football and not this over-passing nonsense when the situation requires immediate clearance. We're lucky that we got away with it. You wouldn't be saying that had we ended up with a draw.
  4. Arguably his most important save apart from those in penalty shootouts...
  5. But when you gotta hoof it, you hoof it. Don't give the officials a decision to make. We almost threw 2 points away when Watford did nothing but defend all game!
  6. That was a dumb win. Controlled the game, looked comfortable and then gave a stupid penalty. VAR or not, we should not have over-passed it at the back. Just hoof the ball forward FFS! Hope Lampard has a word with them!
  7. Got too comfortable. Never a PK, but there shouldn't have been a decision to make in the first place. EXACTLY! DIDN'T EVEN TAKE THE HINT FROM LAST WEEK AT BURNLEY!
  8. WE ARE FUCKING IDIOTS! JUST HOOF THE BALL FORWARD FFS!!!
  9. TBF, our attacks have been sporadic but he's been involved in a number of them. Unless of course you were expecting him to score another hat-trick.
  10. I'm not saying it's a big problem for us, just annoying to deal with the back 3/5. Newcastle couple of weeks ago, United in midweek and today Watford for examples.
  11. Gotta say, Conte reintroducing the back 3/5 system in England in 2016 has become annoying. Won us the title with it but on the other hand, most teams have picked up on it and we've tended to struggle against teams playing that system.
  12. The players out there are fine. Just need to move the ball quicker and be more positive with it against Watford's annoying back 5. We looked threatening every time we got forward in the first half.
  13. He provides balance to the team ala Oscar.
  14. Too much passing around the back!
  15. Aah yes. Was thinking only outright midfielder.
  16. Weather has cleared up it seems.
  17. Emerson straight back in the XI, Alonso on bench. Pulisic starts for 3rd straight game. Gilmour only midfield option on bench.
  18. The cynical side of me would say CHO brought this on himself. He put himself under the spotlight by handing in a transfer request, then dragging out the contract negotiation for months and getting the club to pay him big money when he hasn't even turned 20 and has achieved nothing in football. I'm not writing him off but I can also see why people are expecting more from him to justify the hype.
