Lampard did say we will sign players if the right ones are available. Since our first choice targets are unobtainable this month, then I guess you gotta consider is it worth going for the B-rate or even C-rate choices for the benefit for 4-5 months? Given our past record, I wouldn't rule us out signing dud players again but if the club are confident of landing those first choice targets in the summer, then it might be worth suffering for just a few more months.

Unless you have inside info to dispute Lampard's comments on Pulisic picking up an injury before the Arsenal and Nottingham Forest games recently, I'm not sure how you could say he's been treated unfairly. Pulisic started 12 consecutive games in all competitions from late October till mid-December, a run that I don't even think he managed at Dortmund. He did slow down a little at the end of that run of games and it's normal that his game times are being managed because he's still getting used to the intensity of games and playing so many games in England in quick succession and has never played during this period of the season before. Even Jorginho and Mount got dropped, benched or whatever you want to call it for a few games in November/December. If you look at the games after those 12 starts, it's hardly something to sound the alarm. Pulisic was benched/rested against Spurs and also because Lampard went with a different system, played against Southampton albeit as a sub (although that's because of Lampard's tactical naivety from previous game but that's another debate). He then picked up a cramp to his hamstring and wasn't risked against Arsenal (a sign that he's likely still adjusting to playing so many games in England and training/playing at this time of the season) and was put straight back into the starting XI at Brighton once he recovered. I'm certain that he would have played/started against Nottingham Forest were it not for the injury he picked up in training before the game.

If that's the case, then we might have found a replacement for him because Jody Morris has said we can't just let him go without finding a replacement first.

FWIW, a decent outing today for CHO. 1 goal and 1 assist. Also looked better on the right (along with James) than the left (cc @killer1257 ). That being said and pardon me for being a little harsh, his better performances have come against poor opposition, notably in the Europa League, League Cup, FA Cup and today was no different. Yet to fully convince against better teams. But baby steps, I guess...

No word on where he will be going. It's the manner he has been frozen out completely, which is similar, if not the same, to Cahill last season (Giroud also did help win us the Europa League last season). I mean yeah, Giroud doesn't suit Lampard's football but can't even get minutes against Nottingham Forest's B/C team?
-
But Pedro? At least let him get his farewell. I remember Sarri got slated for the way he treated Cahill last season and Lampard has taken the same route here with Giroud. Bizarre!
-
Seriously, did Giroud do something to upset Lampard? Didn't even get a single minute despite Batshuayi being horrendous all game!
-
HOME WIN! YAY! Otherwise, a so-so performance against a second string side. Meh.
-
He's only good for banter and memes.

I really don't understand why he even started today...

Even Pulisic upfront would have scored all those chances created for Batshuayi today...
