  1. Feel like they should just get rid of the League Cup. Doesn't have much glamour and no team seem to even care much about it, not even the smaller teams.
  2. It's funny how quick you called him 'injury prone' after one injury but have it your way. Nobody else is complaining? A number of managers have complained about the fixture congestion and yes, even Klopp - https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/01/jurgen-klopp-criticises-fixture-schedule-after-injuries-plague-premier-league/. And for the record, Liverpool have their injury problems over the last month or so - Matip, Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita etc. More teams' injuries over the festive period - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/50986483.
  3. How exactly is he injury prone? Pulisic is still new to the league, still adjusting to the higher intensity games etc but was asked to play 12 straight games. The fact that he mentioned about tiredness to Lampard and then suffered muscle injury only goes to reflect that. He clearly is still not conditioned to the demands of playing in this league yet. How can you compare to Sheffield United? They have only played one game per week while we have been playing a game every 3-4 days for pretty much the entire season. Furthermore, so many players at the other clubs have gone down to injuries over the past month or so because of the sheer number of games they have to play.
  4. Does that look like Azpi or am I totally missing something else here?
  5. @Tomo Are you on ShedEnd as well? Just saw the exact same post there. lol
  6. Probably says more about our transfer business during this window. I can't see us signing anyone other than a CF now. Pretty sure if Pulisic hadn't gotten his injury, Pedro might have been allowed to leave considering his contract expires in the summer and we don't look like extending it. But because of the injury, Pedro is suddenly back from exile. Pedro could have been used to give Pulisic some breather between October and December but instead, the latter was flogged to death for 12 consecutive games and is now injured because of it.
  7. Inter v Atalanta this weekend should be fun...
  8. Pedro is suddenly in the plans. lol Great management from Lampard...
  9. Well, well, well... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jan/10/frank-lampard-olivier-giroud-chelsea
  10. + Frank Lampard admits it would not be a gamble to sell Olivier Giroud
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jan/10/frank-lampard-olivier-giroud-chelsea According to the 3rd last paragraph of that article, Pulisic will be out for 2 weeks. If so, he could be back for the trip to Leicester before the mini winter break.
  12. True, although they do have Brandon Williams from their academy. I supposed if we don't get Chilwell, then some here may get their wish in Grimaldo or Telles (although we haven't been linked with either of them).
  13. Sancho - I think we might have an edge due to the Chelsea factor (him being a fan, has his close buddies at the club, likes London etc). Werner - Looking at the other big clubs out there, not sure who genuinely needs a striker. United perhaps but they are in such a mess. Werner would be foolish to choose them. (I WANT WERNER!) Chilwell - City may be the only competition for this one and it might come down to who does the convincing better.
  14. I guess the one small consolation is that the mini winter break is coming up, so he won't miss too many games. That said, he'll likely miss 5 games including the ones against Leicester and Arsenal!
  15. Guess take it with a pinch of salt because Lampard certainly isn't going to throw someone under the bus. I don't think he or the club is completely sold on Ake. Otherwise, we would have activated the buy back clause by now. They might just be biding their time for the summer.
  16. Lampard was kinda swerving around it when asked earlier, made it look super convincing with his usual elaborated answers. Either he was telling the truth or he is a good liar!
  17. Maybe Lampard does rate Christensen, maybe he doesn't but if it's the latter, then Lampard sure knows how to make it look convincing with his lengthy explanation.
