  1. Yup, it is true. https://www.transfermarkt.com/cesar-azpilicueta/leistungsdaten/spieler/57500 He has only 4 yellow cards all season - 1 in PL, 1 in Super Cup and 2 in Champions League.
  2. And not to mention, the abuse players get on social media. People like to think or treat footballers (or other athletes) like they are different when at the end of the day, they are just humans like the rest of us. No one should get abused by others.
  3. James Maddison set to sign a new 4-year deal at Leicester apparently.
  4. Okay, that is an exaggeration but the League Cup certainly presents clubs with problems next season because of the compressed nature of it. There are already reports, for examples, clubs playing in Europe are intending to play the kids in the competition.
  5. Arsenal were good defensively against Man City but so did we when we played them in the league. Furthermore, we all know Arsenal and us can unreliable defensively. So, it's kind of a toss-up on which side will show up in the final. If we are to win this, we basically need to do what we did against United and Wolves - don't do anything silly, pick the moments to attack (and hopefully score) and then shithouse our way to a win. Might not be pretty but when you get to a final, it's all about winning.
  6. Now, we have video of him training...

  10. Wonder if Lampard wants to do something similar eventually...
  11. More pics of Werner from training here... https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/07/27/gallery--timo-werner-s-first-chelsea-training-session
  12. Inclined to agree but on the other hand, there is an argument to be made of 'if we sack manager A, is there a good/suitable manager out there to replace him?'. With Sarri, that is debatable. There were several times he was reportedly on the verge of being sacked but always ended up avoiding it because we picked up a win at the right time. And while we don't know if the club would have stuck with him if Juventus hadn't come calling, they didn't exactly fight tooth and nail to keep him, did they? Plus, the fan unrest may have influenced the board's decision to hire Lampard instead of someone like Max Allegri.
  13. Exactly why I said I have no idea what squad is Lampard trying to build here. And on top of that list, Werner and Havertz can also be options on the wing, which makes it all the more LOL!
  14. Fair play to Southampton and especially Ralph Hasenhuttl (underrated manager)..
  15. The point is, if you're gonna shout from the rooftop about this and that, then you better perform on the pitch. Action speaks louder than words. Instead, Everton kept talking and talking but haven't proven anything and they have finished even behind Burnley!
  16. The only way this is even bearable is if Willian becomes a squad player but if this season is anything to go by, Lampard will continue his love-in with Willian and play him in every game. If that turns out to be the case, then the situation is stupid. One minute Lampard is preaching youth, and the next he is playing over-the-hill players over them. That is without mentioning the new signings - in Ziyech's case - may be blocked by Willian and may block others.
  17. Hard to know what Lampard is trying to do with the squad anymore...
  18. Okay, just saw Lampard's presser and he said Pedro played his last league game yesterday and will still be here for the remaining two games.
