  1. Matt Law on our transfer targets, apart from Havertz and GK... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/07/27/chelsea-talks-withbayer-leverkusen-fee-midfielder-kai-havertz/
  2. Matt Law on Havertz deal... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/07/27/chelsea-talks-withbayer-leverkusen-fee-midfielder-kai-havertz/
  3. Wonder if Lampard wants to do something similar eventually...
  4. More pics of Werner from training here... https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/07/27/gallery--timo-werner-s-first-chelsea-training-session
  5. Inclined to agree but on the other hand, there is an argument to be made of 'if we sack manager A, is there a good/suitable manager out there to replace him?'. With Sarri, that is debatable. There were several times he was reportedly on the verge of being sacked but always ended up avoiding it because we picked up a win at the right time. And while we don't know if the club would have stuck with him if Juventus hadn't come calling, they didn't exactly fight tooth and nail to keep him, did they? Plus, the fan unrest may have influenced the board's decision to hire Lampard instead of someone like Max Allegri.
  6. Exactly why I said I have no idea what squad is Lampard trying to build here. And on top of that list, Werner and Havertz can also be options on the wing, which makes it all the more LOL!
  7. Fair play to Southampton and especially Ralph Hasenhuttl (underrated manager)..
  8. The point is, if you're gonna shout from the rooftop about this and that, then you better perform on the pitch. Action speaks louder than words. Instead, Everton kept talking and talking but haven't proven anything and they have finished even behind Burnley!
  9. The only way this is even bearable is if Willian becomes a squad player but if this season is anything to go by, Lampard will continue his love-in with Willian and play him in every game. If that turns out to be the case, then the situation is stupid. One minute Lampard is preaching youth, and the next he is playing over-the-hill players over them. That is without mentioning the new signings - in Ziyech's case - may be blocked by Willian and may block others.
  10. Hard to know what Lampard is trying to do with the squad anymore...
  11. Okay, just saw Lampard's presser and he said Pedro played his last league game yesterday and will still be here for the remaining two games.
  12. Random fact - we dished out two of Wolves' heaviest league defeat of the season. The 5-2 and 2-0 (Arsenal also beat them 2-0 once). Rest of their defeats were by 1 goal margin only.
  13. One personal challenge for Lampard is to survive past the second season and beyond. The last time we had the same manager for 3 seasons and beyond was Mourinho (twice). Before that, it was Ranieri.
  14. Funnily enough, Matt Law suggested him earlier...
  15. Well, if Werner and Abraham continue to develop and come good for us, I don't see the need to get Haaland? Also gotta question whether getting the likes of Haaland and Donnarumma is worth the trouble and money. We know Raiola will ask for a huge agent fee and we also know that he sometimes likes to run his mouth in the media.
  16. Problem with Donnarumma is, his agent is Mino Raiola and the club have not been very keen to deal with him.
  17. If we get our defensive organization right, Oblak doesn't always have to come for set pieces. Not every keeper does it for every set piece situation anyway. For starters, being a solid stopper would be a big plus already.
