No way Bayern and Man City will do business again. They hate each other.

Would have been great if Kimmich was our player...

There was also this...

Hope it's 1 year + 1 year as an option, as opposed to straight out 2 years.

If Bayern insist on playing their high line, they will get shredded.

If Bayern win the Champions League tonight, we should announce it at that time to troll them.

You are missing the memo, Jype. We must all argue to the bitter end over the price and alternatives!

Yet when Bakayoko did play, he still looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights. This.

No one is saying that is wrong, I get it as I have done it myself but the way some have been going on about it is kinda silly. What is that gonna achieve at this point? Moreover, those other options that have been mentioned have different kind of question marks over them and aren't certified better than Chilwell and not saying Chilwell are certified better at this point either. For example, if we get one of those options and they can't adapt in the league or struggle in it, then what? We would then have to go spend on a new a LB again. Little money would have been spent, sure, but when you add up all the cost and the trouble of identifying new targets, then it becomes troublesome. After Cole retired, we've bought left backs from other leagues - Luis, Emerson, Alonso - and they have all struggled for one reason or another due to the nature of the league, even though they did well at their former clubs. With Chilwell, even though he costs a bit more, we don't have to worry much about that, about adapting to the league etc. It will be about him getting better, improving etc. Maybe the club also consider that factor in mind.

Others may be cheaper but there are different kind of question marks over them. Also, I can understand people's view over transfer fees but the way some have been going about it here, you would think they are being asked to pay millions from their pocket right now.

Funny thing about this kind of view is that if Milan fans come here and read about Bakayoko, they will see we have said he's shit and all that and be astounded that they are gonna buy him but when he plays for Milan, he actually looks a decent player and not as shit as we've made him out to be, which is interesting. At this point, I don't know why people are still moaning endlessly over this deal. It looks a done deal and am just interested to see how he - and the other signings - will do when the season starts.

Err, okay as in done deal..?

You called it utter madness and yet, New Zealanders are happy with the approach that has been taken going by the approval rating of Jacinda Arden and her government over the last few months. Was Melbourne's lockdown that bad? I remember New Zealanders complained about theirs being too strict when compared to Australia months ago and yet, New Zealand have had the last laugh because they went 3 months without any community cases while Australia didn't and are experiencing a big resurgence in cases, way more than New Zealand right now. Totally agree with @Puliiszola on this one. Nobody likes to be under lockdown but I'd rather the government take a safety first approach to try and stop the spread of the virus, as much as possible. Otherwise, you'd risk the cases rising up again, the cases overwhelming hospitals and people dying, just like what's happening in countries like France, Italy, Germany etc. This also isn't just about stopping people getting the virus but also stopping people from unnecessarily dying from the virus. Look at how many lives have been lost, for example, in the US because of Trump's abysmal handling of the pandemic. Even Boris Johnson's handling has been atrocious, especially early on. The death number could have been way lower.

But what IF Milan don't cave in and just drop the interest?

As well as Reguilon has done well overall this season, one thing that hasn't been said is that 2019/20 is pretty much his first full, proper season in top flight football. Never mind adapting to the Premier League, we still do not know if he's really the real deal. Lots of players have done well in their first season in top flight football, only to fall off after that. Also, the last few left backs that we have bought from abroad have not turned out too well, despite doing well at their former club - Filipe Luis, Emerson and to an extent Alonso. Maybe the club thought it might be best to go for the safer option in Chilwell - e.g. knowing the league - even if it means spending that a bit more money (that will be offset by a sale anyway). And besides, if we want to get Reguilon and if he continues to do well, we can always go get him considering Alonso will likely be sold at some point, maybe even next summer.

Go read the first 5-10 pages of his thread. It's funny.
