  1. Anyone who thinks we need to recall Gallagher or even Gilmour in January should be sent for a brain check.
  2. It's one thing to do it in a game here and a game there but it's another to do it over 38 games. If we go deep in the cup competitions, then there will also be those to contend with on top of the Premier League. This team hasn't experienced this before. So we are still in the unknown when it comes to this. We have been burned too many times over the last decade on false dawns.
  3. Even if they drop points, they have had a history of showing amazing consistency in recent seasons to stay up there and that's something still unknown with us because we hadn't challenged for the title since 2016/17. Can we really handle the pressure every week as the leaders? Can we handle it later in the season during March, April if we are still up there? So many questions, unknowns etc to be answered with this group.
  4. Mount had a goal and an assist. Of course you are ignoring this.
  5. Even if Werner costs say 40 million? Isn't the most they have paid for a player is somewhere around 30 million only? Hansi Flick wanted Werner but didn't get him because of Salihamidzic. Would Nagelsmann have better luck? And what if Lewandowski stays? Wouldn't Werner just basically be trading the same position for another? The irony of wanting to be the main man is that he could be one here if he's just able to score a tad more regularly.
  6. You're the one who said it. And I can just make it happen at any time. 😏
  7. Wouldn't putting Lukaku at RW be even worse in regards to the pressing?
  8. Careful, Tomo. You're gonna attract a bunch of American fans onto your back...
  9. Granted, Saul is only here on loan but the signing had red flags all over it given Atletico were desperate to ship him out.
  10. Thought you said you don't want to be part of the community? 🤨
  11. But what if we end up with no takers for Werner? I mean, if we want to attract suitors, you would think he would have to do well between now and the end of the season, unless of course the club are willing to take a huge loss on him. And of course, if he does well between now and the end of the season, the conversation would probably not about him leaving etc. I have mentioned/asked this before and since I haven't gotten any convincing reply on this anywhere, I'll mention/ask again. Matt Law's speculation with Bayern is that it depends on whether Lewandowski stays but what if he stays? Then what? On the other hand, if he does leave, is there any guarantee that Bayern will come after him? Nagelsmann may like Werner but their sporting director doesn't and turned down the chance to sign him from RB Leipzig. Why would he do it now? With Dortmund, sure, they may have Werner on their list but are they willing to potentially pay a huge transfer fee and the wages? Maybe @Magic Lamps can shed some light on this but all the recent reports I've seen is that Dortmund are eyeing Karim Adeyemi and Werner supposedly isn't high on their list. If they get Adeyemi or another striker, again, then what?

  14. DECEMBER IS HERE! AND SO COMES OUR DODGY ANNUAL WINTER PERIOD! 🙃
  15. Of course Messi won the Ballon d'Or. Lewandowski got robbed for the second year running. Mendy should also have won the Goalkeeper of the Year award. All of this is really a bloody fucking popularity contest!
  16. Double standards? Developed critical thinking? Give me a break! There's no critical thinking when Mana is basically the kind of person who only pops up here to complain endlessly when results go wrong but rarely seen when the results are going well. It's almost he relishes the prospect or thrives on bad results. We are truly living in the worst times in football where hot takes and social media rule. Everyone wants to be edgy and say crazy shit things, without any context or perspective, to get noticed. Modern football is truly fucking insufferable on so many levels! If you don't want to be part of the community, no one is stopping you from going elsewhere. You are free to do whatever you want.
  17. What struck me with Loftus-Cheek yesterday was he struggled to impose himself because United didn't give him the space to bulldoze his way through like he usually does and they also had like 3 defensive midfielders who were able to match him physically. Coupled that with the fact he's not the most creative player on the ball, then it becomes a bit of an issue. Kovacic would certainly have provided a bit more creativity and guile.
  18. What rumors? I see a lot from Germany are saying that Dortmund will likely sign Adeyemi. On top of that, him making the jump from the Austrian Bundesliga to the Premier League is big and a risk. But in any case, are we sure that the attackers we buy in the future won't suddenly look a shadow of their former selves? 😆 Tuchel: "If Romelu's fully fit, he's a starter for us"
  19. Are you blind? I was just pointing out the facts.
  20. I meant after he came on. But whatever. What's done is done...
