  1. Pepe was a beast in my FM11 Juve team. On the game, I was very disappointed with Napoli as I had expected more from them in the game. Adding to that, they've only won 1 of 4 games in all competitions since we beat them 4-1 in the UCL. Before that, they won 6 matches on the trot! That said, credit to Juventus and Conte, they have been great this season and I would definitely like them to win the Serie A this season after their recent years of suffering. Pleased to see them getting back into the Champions League too.
  2. Virtually yes but in reality, the tie is still far from over. If we are leading 4-0, 5-0 from the 1st leg, then you can say that but with only 1 goal in it, anything can still happen.
  3. I would rather wait and see what happens on Wednesday against Benfica first before even thinking anything about the semi final.
  4. Haha. Sorry, just can't trust anyone on April 1st. Anyway, cheers.
  5. Oook. Thanks. By the way, this is no April Fool joke, right? lol
  6. Really?. Interesting. Thanks for the info. EDIT: By the way, is Garay out for the 2nd leg??
  7. Just a little bit team news of some sort on Benfica; Jorge Jesus made 3 changes at the weekend in their 2-1 win over Braga from the side that faced us. He completely left out Jardel and Emerson from their matchday squad with Capdevilla and Miguel Vitor replacing them. Wondering if that has anything to do with their performance last Tuesday. Also, Rodrigo started that game in place of Aimar as the latter was serving a suspension.
  8. I think what RDM has done is use the 'hands around the shoulder' approach on Torres. All I think Torres needed was the manager to give him confidence, motivate and praise him for what he has done during a game. Don't think AVB did that or even communicate much with the players generally anyway.
  9. 4-4 between Dortmund & Stuttgart on Friday and now 5-4 in the Inter v Genoa game earlier. 2 red cards & 4 penalties in that game. Madness. Best football weekend in a long long time!
  10. As long as the players don't slip into complacency after what happened today and 2 years ago against Liverpool, we should be fine. Also, in all the 5 times we've won the away leg in the CL KO stage, we've drew all the home legs! 2003/04 Last 16 Stuttgart 0-1 Chelsea Chelsea 0-0 Stuttgart Quarter Finals Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea 2006/07 Quarter Finals Chelsea 1-1 Valencia Valencia 1-2 Chelsea 2008/09 Quarter Finals Liverpool 1-3 Chelsea Chelsea 4-4 Liverpool 2010/11 Last 16 FC Copenhagen 0-2 Chelsea Chelsea 0-0 FC Copenhagen
  11. You too it seems after scoring that late winner against Braga. Massive result for Benfica in terms of the title race. Will surely give you guys a big lift for next Wednesday.
  12. Well looking forward to it especially now that Milan and Lazio have dropped points & opened the door for the title and CL spot.
  13. It's all about communication and 'hands around shoulder' method.
  14. Maybe I'm only saying this on hindsight but I've no idea why Luiz played today actually. Would have thought Cahill will start given he was rested in midweek.
  15. Saw the Collins's goal again, what a horrendous defending for that! Straight out from the Stoke academy. Also, seems that Mr Goalpost have some sort of grudge towards Mata. From what I remember, he has hit the posts 6 times already this season(!) - Sunderland, Birmingham, Leicester, Tottenham, Benfica and Aston Villa.
  16. Knowing us, we won't go after such a small name player.
  17. Albrighton seems like one too. He's one of the very few English talents that looks to have a real potential in him IMO.
  18. Not getting carried away just yet despite the results today. All we can do now is keep winning and just hope other results go our way.
  19. Hope he will fine for Wednesday.
  20. Supporting Chelsea is never good for one's health is it? Always making life more difficult than it actually should! Pleased to get the win today and very happy to see Torres breaking his drought but not happy with the overall team performance. Went 2-0 up comfortably, got sloppy and suddenly it became 2-2. Great to see us scoring 2 more in the end but on another day, this could be easily 2 points dropped or worse! Remember 3 years ago under Hiddink? Hammered Liverpool 3-1 in the Champions League QF 1st leg and we played Bolton few days later. Strolled into a 4-0 lead, got sloppy and ended up just scrapping to a 4-3 win. Similar thing occuring again. Won 1-0 at Benfica and now this at Villa. This better serve as a warning to the team not to get sloppy. Will get punished by Benfica if we slip into complacency next Wednesday!
  21. RDM really needs to get into the players and get them up for the second half! Since Sturridge's goal, we have been far far too casual and sloppy!!
  22. Try this. http://www.firstrowsports.eu/watch/116315/2/watch-aston-villa-vs-chelsea.html
  23. Slightly surprise with that lineup. And where is Romeu?!!!
  24. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xpsts8_www-online-soccer-ru-borussia-dortmund-4-4-stuttgart-all-goals_sport Goal highlight from that game though it might be better watching the entire game again on TV if possible because both teams really gave a good go in this one. That said, from Dortmund's POV, they will be kicking themselves for throwing it away after going 2-0 up.
