  1. Meh. United strolled to a 3-0 win in the end. Oh well, still 4 points clear at the top.
  2. Just only realized that Spurs have won their last 4 league games after losing 1 and drawing 2 of the first three...
  3. So, Spurs beat Villa 2-0 in the end...
  4. Our scout, Mick McGiven is currently at the Lane scouting Spurs.
  5. Not sure if anyone have came across this but there was a story in the Four Four Two Magazine October 2012 edition stating that Sao Paulo hid Oscar from Fergie when he was only 15 y/o. United contacted them, sent Oscar invitations to train with them and offered a deal but Sao Paolo chose to hid him and told him to fly to Spain because in Brazil, a player can't sign a contract until's he's 16, which meant if Oscar had left then, the club wouldn't receive any compensation. Instead, Oscar flew to Albacete in Spain and was hidden there for about a month to hide him for big clubs and scouts that were interested in him.

  7. Forgot to mention this but the cross he delivered in for Torres's goal yesterday was quality. First time he has done that in ages! One of the biggest factor in that was how quick he crossed the ball. Once Mata passed the ball to him, he immediately delivered it into the box at first time. Otherwise, he would have taken 2-3 more touches like most of the time and allowed the opposition to close him down and get back into their defensive shape which by then the chance have gone.

  9. Maybe we should just play Ferreira at RB once again.
  10. Only thing that is preventing Azpilicueta starting over Ivanovic right now is that Ivanovic has more experience and possess that physicality to head out crosses and useful in defending and attacking set pieces.
  11. Personally, I'm not sure if Lampard is suitable to play in this game. If AVB employs the high pressing game on us, then Lampard might struggle in the double pivot and he won't have the legs to track back if he loses the ball under pressure or being caught too far high up the pitch.
  12. For a club like us that is challenging for trophies every season, you need to have squad depth. And moreover, De Bruyne can play in CM, not just out wide or as a CAM and he's pretty good in the CM position. Don't see the problems with it at all having all these players. It just means we have loads of options we could use next time. Just because they aren't injured now, doesn't mean they won't get injured here and there occasionally in the future(touch wood).
  13. Was waiting for someone to do that.
  14. We should try playing him upfront in place of Torres. Already has scored 3 goals in the league this season...
  15. Great picture this! And this one looks a bit wrong!
  16. 4 points against Spurs and United would be a good return. And in the double headers against Shakhtar, a minimum of 4 points is a must!
  17. Had a decent game but that clear cut chance he completely made a big mess of early on where instead of shooting with his right foot, he tried to cut onto his left foot just summed him up in the nutshell at the moment. Great at times. Frustrating to watch on others. A complete enigma right now!
  18. Despite him scoring a good volley goal today, I was terribly by how annoyed he defended for Norwich's goal. Not for the first time he failed to close down or even put in any pressure on the Norwich player that cross in the ball that led to Holt's goal. He just kept backing off and off and allowed the cross to come in so so easily! :banghead:
  19. We'll find out more about RDM's management with the team in the next 10 games as we play: Tottenham (A) Shakhtar Donetsk (A) Man United (H - Premier League) Man United (H - League Cup) Swansea (A) Shakhtar Donetsk (H) Liverpool (H) West Brom (A) Juventus (A) Man City (H) All of them are pretty tough for their own reasons.
  20. Oh well. They still trail us by 7 points anyway...
  21. Steve Clarke has done very well with West Brom once again. 14 points from a possible 21 and now sit in 4th too. And only they and us have a 100% home record in the league so far - 4 wins from 4. They next face City at the Hawthorns. Should be interesting. City dropped their first points there last season against a well drilled West Brom under Hodgson then.
