  1. DAFUQ?! Ivanovic as right winger?! :banghead:
  2. Again, subjective opinion. He has proved that he can't play further forward. His best position in the CM role or even the CDM role. Playing him further forward would see him getting less time on the ball and being closed down quicker. In his situation right now, he may well struggle there. If that is the case, then why do we all even bother to have discussion and opinions then?
  3. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1185204/chelsea-target-loic-remy-in-janaury---report?cc=4716 Looks like we'll be going for him again come January if reports in France are to be believed.
  4. Why bother? Seems that those bunch of idiots that is the English media etc want to toss Cole out of the squad and have Baines to replace him. And right now, I'm actually more concerned regarding his contract situation with the club.
  5. Just returned from injury. Will be ready after the international break.
  6. Oops. Missed this thread. Happy Belated Birthday Jim! Hope you had a great time!!
  7. That means you want Lampard to play as a CAM? If yeah, then that won't work. Has played in that position under Ancelotti with his diamond midfield and he has never looked comfortable in there. And as I said before, even if Lampard has desire and determination to play in this game, we have to consider whether he can contribute effectively in a big game where if it's to be played at a high tempo especially, then Lampard may struggle. Forget what happened between him and AVB. Playing the best starting XI that is suitable for this match to ensure that we get a point at the very least or better, all 3 points.
  8. He's a delusional fool. Picked Silva, Cazorla and heck even Ivanovic over an in-form Mata in his BBC TOTW!
  9. It's still early days mate. Still early days...
  10. Here's what AVB said ahead this game yesterday. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/07/andre-villas-boas-tottenham-chelsea?newsfeed=true
  11. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1184559/ryan-bertrand-replaces-injured-kieran-gibbs-in-england-squad?cc=4716 Bertrand has been called up to the England squad after Gibbs pulled out with an injury.
  12. Cole charged for a tweet. Van Persie escaped punishment after elbowing Cabaye. Summed up what Cole said perfectly about the FA last week (even though it was wrong of him to attack them publicly).
  13. Still injured apparently. Forest are working closely with the club on his recovery.
  14. Yes, I get bruises on my forehead a lot.
  15. Football observation is subjective and can differ from one person to another. And while stats may be there to back up what you said, it doesn't always tell the whole story. Lampard is no longer dynamic, mobile and doesn't have the legs anymore to be playing in such big games, not everyone of them anyway. Also, this situation now is rather hilarious. Before this, everyone wants RDM to keep Lampard out of the side because he leaves Mikel exposed and now just because we're playing AVB, people are being sentimental more than anything else and want Lampard to start.
  16. If there is one thing I can't stand about him right now is his overzealous celebration in almost every game. The way he celebrates every goal that his team scores every time is annoying. It's like he has won the title or something. Can imagine him doing the same like he did at Old Trafford the other day IF he beat us in this one. If that happens... :banghead:
  17. Awww, how nice of you. It would be so typical of fate IF we were to lose to AVB's Spurs.
  18. Especially the one proposed against Swansea, Shakhtar and West Brom.
  19. Yeah and that gives us a bit of cushion ahead of our match against Spurs and United. Hope we can get at least 4 points from those two games.
  20. Another impressive result for Napoli yesterday, beating Udinese 2-1 at San Paolo. They have matched Juventus stride for stride so far, both have won 6 and drew 1 of their first seven league games. And after the international break, they go head-to-head in Turin. Will be a big test for Napoli to see if they really have the credentials and are the real deal to challenge Juventus for the Scudetto this season.
  21. Easy to say that. It's one thing to have the desire and determination, it's another to be able to do it especially when Lampard is nowhere near as dynamic and mobile as he was 2-3 years ago.
