  1. But Emenalo played a part in bringing Hazard, Oscar etc......
  2. A non-Chelsea related thread. Moved to here.
  3. A tricky away league game at Southampton where we desperately need 3 points and we then have to play Man Utd(Man United!) in the FA Cup less than 2 days later.
  4. Happy Birthday Raphael! Have a great day and enjoy whatever weather is it there in Brazil.
  5. Milan's 2-0 lead was fun while it lasted. Bottlers!
  6. Seems pretty fake alright and looks like it's being sold in one of those Chinatown shops!

  8. It's actually Sun-Tues-Thurs in that case. If we progress in the EL, don't think they'll have that replay on Tuesday especially if our 1st leg then on Thursday is away from home.
  9. Before we even start talking about Wallace at RB, let's not make it as if Azpi is completely useless offensively just because he can't put in good crosses consistently. With him in the team, he is able to offer so much more than Ivanovic and Bosingwa at RB. He is solid defensively and good going forward. Knows when to create overlapping situations, time his runs going forward, quick in getting crosses in when needed(not like Ivanovic/Bosingwa who takes one touch too many before crossing the ball) not just limited to only know how to cross with his right foot. Azpi has showed that he's capable of crossing with his left foot when needed(i.e. see assist for Hazard goal vs West Brom) and more than capable of picking out incisive passes with it too(i.e cut back pass for Hazard goal vs Wigan). Yes, I agree that he does need to improve on his crossing and be more consistent with it but he has showed that he's good enough to put good crosses in - look at cross for Torres(vs Villa) and even the one for Mata that led to him scoring against Arsenal at the Bridge. It's just a matter of gaining that consistency and if anything, he's not as frustrating as Bosingwa previously, Ivanovic at RB and heck, even Cole! As mentioned above, Bosingwa and Ivanovic usually take ages before putting a cross in and by the time they put one it, the opposition are already back in place to deal with it easily. And Cole hardly even cross the ball on the left flank these days!
  10. Oh, because it makes out to the media, it is a bad thing? It gave the media what they wanted? Riighhttt..... If you look at the entire interview, it was basically just about asking Magnay's new playing experience at Gateshead and past experience at the club here with the team, players etc. Only 1 question is mainly about AVB, the other 10 is not even related. What AVB did in terms of separating the 1st team and youth team back then was already well publicized by the media then. Magnay did not exaggerate anything when he was asked about this in the interview. He only recalled what happened then and offered his perspective from the player's point of view given he was involved in it. He is likely to be telling the truth but because of this negative pre-conception you have about the players causing AVB to get sack that you assume Magnay is just trying to give the media what they wanted and talking nonsense. Speaking of trending story and giving what the media wanted, have you even seen this interview being covered anywhere in the major news outlet such as ESPN, Guardian, Telegraph, Sky Sports etc? No. This was just a low key interview conducted on a previous Chelsea youth player and it isn't even the 1st time it has been done. And all this 'negative' stories about AVB is not even a trending story anymore. He is now enjoying good publicity simply because he joined the media's favorite club in Tottenham. Yes, he tried to change things around here but went about it in the wrong way. Had he done so properly, there wouldn't even be a massive problem with the team last season.
  11. You're just being selective and cynical. Why would he even bother about getting the media attention?! That interview was not even done with any popular media outlet and he is just telling what happened last season with AVB from a player's perspective. And of course, even if AVB say he did this and did that for the good of the team, people would probably believe him and still put all the blame on the players for the problems last season. Why some people just won't admit or even see AVB was part of the problem last season is beyond me.
  12. Convenient maybe in terms of timing, if you like, but nothing more. Just happen Magnay is being interviewed after leaving the club not too long ago.
  13. Dating game: Chelsea could face 3 matches in 5 days following FA Cup draw with Manchester United This is where it could get really fun...
  14. At this rate, we should just purchase all the talented youngsters in football...
  15. Yeah but Magnay isn't exactly the 1st player to have spoken out against AVB.
  16. Given he has sacked 21 managers in 10 years and 4 this season, one can never be sure. Likely to sack more managers and then more...
  17. Well, that will basically create another problem. Depend on how our next manager will go about managing the striking department.
  18. Bottom of the league right now in Serie A...
  19. Yes, after getting 3 consecutive draws. Palermo's Managers this season: 1. Giuseppe Sannino (lasted till mid-September). 2. Gian Piero Gasperini (lasted from mid-September till early February). 3. Alberto Malesani (lasted from 5th February till 24th February). 4. Gian Piero Gasperini (lasted from end of Feb till now, just 2 weeks).
  20. Slightly off topic. Zamparini has just sacked the 4th manager at Palermo this season! Makes Roman looks extremely sane. And...
  21. Not doubting his qualities or anything but just saying that he isn't the finished article yet and people shouldn't just assume he's gonna produce the same quality consistently for us to challenge on all fronts. Lukaku is still young and got a lot to learn still. Have no problem with Lukaku and Ba being part of the strikeforce but if the 3rd striker is gonna be an average one like Le Fondre, then there's where the issue comes in. Yes, the midfield players we have would contribute their fair share of goals over the season but we still need a top notch, competent striker upfront. As you said, we need a striker who creates for others but also score the number of goals a striker should(Lewandowski for example) & be clinical with the chances. I mean how many times has Torres messed up opportunities to score this season?! I just do not want us at this stage next season to be complaining about the same old problems with the strikers again. Get 1 top quality striker to go with Ba and Lukaku and we'll be set to go next season.
  22. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8557009/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter The replay date will depend on what happens in the Europa League.
  23. And yet there are still people who is adamant in blaming everything on the senior players for his sacking..
  24. Partly that and partly also because the others actually came to life in the second half especially. Mata maybe great but he can't do it all alone. Others have to turn up as well.
  25. Problem with the manager more than anything else. Some prefers to play deep. Some just prefers to be on the front foot. There have been a number of times where we pressed high up the pitch under RDM this season and it worked well.
