  1. Shocking! In the Chelsea TV schedule on the website though, they had it down as 'dynamic midfielder'.
  2. We are playing Spurs at the Bridge, not at WHL. Already won there earlier this season.
  3. If there's one thing Luiz can improve on, especially if he's going to play in midfield from time to time, is that he needs to keep things simple on the ball and not over-complicate matters. There were numerous occasions against Basel on Thursday that he could have released the ball quicker and pass it forward to set us on an attack/counter attack but instead, he tried to take 2-3 players on at once and he ends up losing the ball or winning us a free kick. The latter situation allows us to keep the ball but not much point when we have to start the attack all over again as opposed to being able to catch them out in attack/counter attacks from open play. Continue doing this and it would be no different to what Mikel does on the ball sometimes when he holds it for a tad too long and slowing down our attacks or gives the opposition a chance to hit us on the counter by losing the ball cheaply.
  4. Think that is down more to application on the pitch. The players we have now are capable of playing the short passing game and also going beyond defenders and providing that penetrative runs as well as passes. That was evident earlier this season under RDM when we used to have players getting in behind oppositions' defence.
  5. If Spurs beat Wigan at the DW Stadium later today, they will climb into 3rd resulting in Arsenal and us dropping down to 4th and 5th respectively, for 24 hours at least.
  6. Chelsea's deal for Leverkusen's Schurrle on hold with De Bruyne eying Dortmund
  7. As Peace already pointed out previously, it's difficult for Sanchez to find any sort of consistency when he's being rotated with others for a wide role though his injuries at times have not helped his cause either. On the other hand, Schurrle has had the benefit of being played week in week out in his favoured position and playing in a style that suit him which obviously would benefit him as a player in regards to his form. And yes, there is a risk in signing off form players right now but to just look at that is rather short-termism when in the long run, Sanchez may prove to be the better one for us especially when you consider we still need someone to fill in at RW and that is not Schurrle's best position.
  8. Considering that Robben is already 29 and the club is looking to bring in younger players, the chances of this transfer happening is very low. It obviously goes against the policy and while Robben has proved himself to be useful still, I don't think it's a good thing even if we want to take him in. He will command high wages(as if we don't have enough of those already!), still a bit injury prone as well as a suspect to blowing hot and cold on the pitch. That might have not been the case this season but certainly the past seasons have showed that. It's a risk trying to get him really.
  9. He chose that character on purpose so that he can wear his scouser red...
  10. http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3157794/title/fa-youth-cup-final-second-leg-date-set The first leg, as some have pointed out, would be on 29th April Monday at Carrow Road. The second leg will be played 2 weeks later.
  11. Benitez and Zenden at Luiz's birthday party apparently. The former as smurf?!

  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=K956fVrAltY Despite him saying that...
  14. Sanchez might not be in any good form right now compare to Schurrle but to disregard him based on that seems rather unjust especially when the former may suit us more than the latter. Think Peace summed up his situation nicely in the last page. He just doesn't fit into the Barcelona's style of playing and just a player that has lost his way a bit.. Barca likes to play tiki-taka football while Sanchez is more of a person that likes to dribble on the ball and go beyond defenders. In the right team and style of play that suits Sanchez, pretty sure then we would see better from him. And besides, he is still rather young. Only 25 this year and by no means a finished article just yet.

  16. What are you talking about? Your eyes must be playing trick on you.
  17. Want to point out that Bertrand, Mikel, Ramires and now Luiz are all 1 YC away from a suspension and missing the final, if they were to play next week.
  18. @, looks like the date I set you with @ went well.
