I'm sorry but Hazard is not one of the top 23 players in the world right now. Is Hazard one of the top 23 YOUNG players in the world? Yes. Can he make it to the top 23 players in the world in the future? Yes. In fact, he can be amongst top 5 best players in the world in the future. But right now, he is only showing glimpses of his talents and playing well in patches here and there. Hazard's performances and consistency have not justified that claim. If he wants to be regarded as one of the best 20 players in the world at this moment, he needs to show more of his potential/abilities and perform better on the pitch as well as doing so consistently!

Yet again, it's ridiculous and amusing that Wenger somehow made it into the shortlist when he didn't even achieve anything of note in the past year (or last 8 years for that matter!). If someone deserves to be in there, instead of Wenger, it is Diego Simeone. The work he has put in to transforming Atletico Madrid to where they are now and winning trophies in the past 2-3 years is incredible. It's pathetic that he isn't even in there when he has done more than Wenger in the last few years!

But the funny thing is Cahill has made blunders before and yet this thread has never turned out to be as it is now..

No no no. Not in any way downplaying Schurrle's ability to get into goalscoring positions. His off the ball movement is good but having watched the replays, I don't even think Demichelis and Nastasic knew where Schurrle was. Both were just ball watching. Didn't fool them, just good movement shown by Schurrle. Praise yes but not so OTT like Choulo alluded to. And don't forget that Schurrle has played as a ST before. Supposed you can consider the likes of Schurrle, Mata, Lampard etc being 'direct' minded players in the sense that they can get on the ball and work with it as well as creating chances for others but also get into goalscoring positions. Hazard is more of a player that likes to get on the ball, create for others and score directly with the ball on his feet.

Yeah but the point still stands.. Saw the goal again a couple of times and I'm not sure if Schurrle really fooled Nastasic and Demichelis like you mentioned there. Yes, while Schurrle did come towards the ball when Torres was out wide on the right and then moving back off, both the defenders looked like they were just ball watching the whole time and didn't even realize Schurrle was there.

I'm sure all of us when reading some posts in this forum, we would think 'Bloody hell, what a stupid post that is!' but do they all go and just say that as it is? No. There is always a proper way of doing things. Moreover, we have seen how petty fights on TC have occured as a result people starting abusing others like that, even if it's just a minor one, and this place getting turned upside down with those involved getting warned or banned.

Just because you had a different take and opinion on the CB situation to Alex, it doesn't give you any right to say his post was stupid. Just to agree or disagree with it in a right manner. You may have explained why so but hurling such abuse, even if its just a minor, is rather unnecessary. And I don't get why just because Alex, or anyone else for that matter, is a forum staff here, he should be taking abuses from others and act all civil and like an angel without retaliating. It's rather ironic that you can abuse others but can't take it when you get one.
