I get your point about this whole Cech-Courtois situation but is there really any need to exaggerate Cech's mistakes when it has only been 2-3 because of that?! It's not like he has been making mistakes in every game. And people here are acting like the media these days. Make 1-2 mistakes, suddenly everything is being blown out of proportion.

If De Bruyne goes out on loan in January, there will be no chance of Mata leaving then. Will be next summer at the earliest.

If Mata has the same defensive workrate and tenacity off the ball (he has definitely improved on these aspects this season) as Oscar, I doubt the latter would be the prefered choice right now given the former offers so much more offensively, and even more than the other AMs. And yet despite that, some players being given way too opportunity even if they are not playing well and some others being cast aside. And that's the issue, isn't it? Because of the preference Mourinho has on some players, those not exactly favored are being put so much under pressure that if they don't turn up for one game, they go back to the bench while the preferred ones get 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc games in a row to prove and play themselves into form. Moreover, those 2 games you mentioned there are like 4 games apart rather than giving a run of games to Mata like I was saying.

If anything, England's game yesterday confirms why Baines is often used more against lower level opponents while Cole is preferred against the better ones. And if used wisely, Cole can still perform well, maybe not to the high standards he once set, but still good enough at least. Problem comes when he's being flogged to death especially with this troubling ankle issue he seems to be having.

While I'm not dismissing some of the thoughts brought up as a reason why RDM hasn't got back to management yet, I find rather hilarious that many or just some are jumping to conclusions and assumed these thoughts are the facts and reasons why he doesn't or hasn't return to football management. We don't even know much about this and all we get are just rumours and speculations and yet, so much has been said or blown out of proportion about this. Then again with the power of Internet today, there are just too many armchair critics around who like to take the moral high ground.

Funnily enough, he played there against Stoke under RDM 2 seasons ago and it didn't really work out all too well IIRC.

Maybe so but then again, it could be part of Mourinho's plan in setting up the team. Stay tight, narrow and compact and force them to go out wide. We do get exposed a bit at times but that mainly is what we have been doing this season; force oppposition to go out wide and cross the ball knowing full well the likes of Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic will win majority of the headers.
