Not too sure about that. They, as a team in whole, are pretty much still inexperience in the Champions League and not to mention, Brendan Rodgers himself still got no experience in Europe. They'll no doubt look to improve their squad this summer and on but teams in Europe would certainly exploit and take advantage of Liverpool's deficiencies more clinical than domestically.

Yeah but unfortunately, that was 2 years ago and it's now 2014. Cole is not exactly the player he once was any longer. He can arguably still put in performances but only when used well and not consistently. With Azpilicueta, different case altogether and he has proved his consistency with his performances over the course of the season.

There is more to it than just the CBs for our improvement in the league this season compared to the last 2 but at the same time, there's also more to it than just Mata for our problems in our last 2 seasons in the league and not the picture that people seems to be painting like Mata is the main and sole reason for the problem.

You can't rescind a player's red card if he's sent off for 2 yellow cards. Can only do that if it's a straight red.

Unless Chris Foy writes something 'nonsense' in his report, don't think Mourinho would be serving any touchline bans as he didn't like say anything harmful or anything like that especially after the game. 6 red cards in 8 games does sound/look suspicious but if one were to analyze closely each incident, then at least 2 if not 3 of them are deserved reds - Alex vs Fulham in League Cup 11/12 season (last man professional foul), Drogba vs QPR at Loftus Road (two-footed challenge) and obviously the horrendous Ramires challenge yesterday. The same can't be said about the other 3 though - Bosingwa vs QPR, Hazard vs Swansea and Willian one yesterday.
